i just recently got my Fireteam with that insane $400 black friday deal. It's my first big RC (had only had 1/10s and smaller till now) and my first rc to use more than 3s, and i really couldnt recommend it enough. Like I know i dont have a lot of experience with other similar vehicles, but i do know that the fireteam has been far better to drive than i expected (and i had high expectations). It's really blown me away, like i've been playing with RC cars for a while but I didn't know that RCs could be THIS fun. It feels like how playing with my first serious rc felt back in highschool

After the XRT came out, I cannot think of a single reason to buy the Sledge.

I know it makes no sense. I’ve seen both at my LHS and the sledge is a lot smaller than you’d think.

It’s smaller and easier to carry around. Driving style is very similar.

The Sledge is more raceable imo...there aren't really many large scale truck racing options to run the XRT with. It's an awesome basher of course so that's probably where you'll see more XRTs

After the XRT came out, I can’t think of a reason to get the XRT. The Kraton 8S is objectively better in nearly every way.

I have a sledge so I can't see why I'd need a XRT,I've got a x-maxx .

honestly if you are serious about rc and want to get started the 4x4 ultimate slash or the 2wd vxl slash are great options, durable, great after market, and easy to work on

Also for $400, you can get the 3s capable, brushless 4x4 Senton. It comes in less than it's competitor slash.

I have 2 of the Hobby Plus CR24 Crawlers . These trucks are very well made and incredibly capable and VERY nice to drive right out of the box . I would put it against the more expensive 1/24th scale crawlers on the market anyday . And the are compatible with most 1/24th parts. I bought them for the kids , but they are just too nice to give them , and they won't appreciate the quality . Kept them for myself and got them something else.

Can confirm, they are very capable and underrated. I have just seen a company releasing oil shocks for the CR18P which are compatible with the CR24. Game changer.

I have a nitro slash. It’s rips alright. So much power! I put a tuned pipe on it and it scoots! Only issue is it’s blowing clutch spring so I put in a stronger one and new bearings. Otherwise a good nitro 2wd short corse.

I have an arrma big rock 3s, a traxxas rustler 2wd brushed, a tamiya tt02 and a traxxas tmaxx classic that I’m currently rebuilding and I love them all. I would recommend one of the 2wd brushed traxxas cars as a first car they’re epic. I think my next buy will be a slash 4x4 vxl or an hpi wr8 they look sick

Well you missed out the CARISMA GT24 1/24 series of inside / outside road cars, the UDIRC 1/16 series of on road cars, and the ABISMA 1/16 on road RC cars. THESE are the best bang for the buck for on road RC cars for the money . You also missed out the kyosho fazer mk2 and VE cars, and LOSI especially and traxas are not the best value for the money, and LOSI are owned by hobbyPlus and more interested in profit than excellent quality RC cars. You also missed out HPI , there is one special good road car in one of their RC cars line up .
