This place is so special. Taking the train from Rome to Salerno then a boat to Amalfi. I stayed at the amazing Hotel Aurora (right next to where the walk starts) with a large terrace and soaked up the sun, sea and atmosphere. I strolled thru Villa Cimbrone in Ravello and then hiked back down to Amalfi. Just like Rome, Venice, Capri and Naples... Amalfi, Ravello and Positano are magical in their own way.

@Traci Frost i chose to stay in Amalfi town itself because it is smaller, quieter than Positano. Positano is more scenic with the shopping and fine dining and is " the place to be ". I wanted to see Ravello so it is quicker to take a bus from Amalfi town up to Ravello. Then i did the walk down the mountain " the walk to Atrani " which was amazing. The church in Amalfi is quite striking. If you are looking to have a glitzy money is no object vacation then Positano is the place. To me though, Ravello is the most beautiful place on the Amalfi coast. The island of Capri is similar to Positano but also has a touch of a Greek island if you are looking for amazing views, shopping, fancy yachts. The chair lift to Monte Solaro n Capri is great and the Blue Grotto of course.

👍👍Raccomended. You should visit cetara as well. You can book some kind of bicycle boat and with it you can go in smaller beaches not so far from the main one... They're awesome..

Do whatever it takes to go to this place. My only regret is that I waited until I was 68 and had to deal with unforeseen mobility issues from a car accident 25 years ago. Do not put off what you can do today, if at all possible. Save your money and do it. There are budget places to stay and eat so that your one week can easily stretch into two weeks. Check into budget airlines, as well. Blessings to you!

My only suggestion is to keep going! I love all your videos, but my absolute favourite was your film of Polignano a Mare 😎 Im guessing the east coast of Italy is the least discovered tourist wise? Id certainly never considered it - so more from that area would be great 😊

I was fortunate my wife wanted me to be a travel partner for one of our daughters for her 4 trips to Europe, since my wife did not want her travelling there alone. I never gave a thought to ever travel to Europe and ended up enjoying the trips as much as my daughter, although they were more educational trips seeing lots of art, history, and churches. I have always liked history anyway, but scenery there is what I liked seeing the best. Three of those trips included Italy. I enjpyed all I saw but my favorites in Italy were the Amalfi coast and nearby Pompeii ruins, and the Lakes area region with the Alps in the North. The only thing a little too exciting for me on the Amalfi coast was being on our tour bus on its winding curvey road looking out the window at the drop-off below. Thanks for placing this on KZbin! What was that fireworks display at 1:01:00 about? Truly curious, the scene was also so pretty! On another note, I’m so grateful for this channel and the person filming all these beautiful videos! I’ve tried watching other walking tours, but none of them have the same magic as this one! Hi Skylar, The fireworks were part of the Festival in Amalfi (Festa di Sant’Andrea) which is usually a much bigger celebration but due to medical restrictions the festival was toned down a big. I am glad to hear you are enjoying the tours. I try to film them as if I were a tourist there for the first time full of wonder. :) I should have new walk out today..but currently there is a copyright claim on it keeping it blocked from viewing. The claim should be removed soon. Anyway, I'll keep the videos coming. Please let me know if there is anything you'd like to see done differently or added to the walks. We were in Italy in November 2021 and made the circle hike from Amalfi to abandoned mills and back. It was amazing! Extremely beautiful nature and landscape.

Thanks for another awesome video. I just discovered the most perfect way to visit the Amalfi cost. I got a tip from another tour to take a high speed train from Rome or Naples to Salerno and catch a ferry there to Amalfi. Amalfi becomes the base and from here you can take the ferry to other towns like Positano, Capri, etc and return to Amalfi. Amalfi looks quieter and beautiful. I think this will work for us when we are ready.

Great tour thanks. It is certainly for the fit and able-bodied, all those steps! You would definitely have to recheck your shopping list before heading home just to make sure you had everything you needed. The local postman must be very athletic indeed LOL.

Hey! You should try visiting the amalfi waterfalls... They're awesome, and they're like 20-30 minutes away from the city, then you'll find some stairs over there. They're beautiful, even the smaller waterfalls!

Hey, you think they would be flowing now? I went to a waterfall in Sicily....and there was no waterfall. :) Maybe I'll go in October and check it out. I know the trails are back there but I just haven't explored them yet.
