Every year around Christmas since ive heard Amanda’s version on Idol i try to find it on Spotify with no luck. It’s truly amazing Amanda’s voice and brings memories back from that year when I first heard it. I wish I could add it in my Spotify Christmas playlist.

She is one in a million.. I could recognize her voice in any crowd, she has her own voice, sound, and style,makes her own songs,she has the look of an angel and all the time in the world to make a go for it. She will never become a studio/tecnical product ! Go for it girl !

What is up with the dislikes on this video? It's not a straight up cover, she probably knew she couldn't pull it off, since not alot of people can.. So she made it her own and it's beautiful.. Mind boggeling how narrow minded people are, take a listen to her version of "when we dig gold in the USA" if you, for some stupid reason she is not talented..

Her voice is a bit shaky, she displays almost no emotion compared to other singers of this particular song and for me that's a big mistake, this song is supposed to be very emotionel. In most good videos on youtube there are around 15-20 times as many likes as there are dislikes, in this there is almost as many dislikes as likes, does that really not tell you anything about the performance. Don't get me wrong, i think she have a fairly good voice, a bit shaky at times but still fine, the lack of passion is the main problem for me in this song. So i stand by my previous post, this is by far the most boring version i have heard of this song.

Frida Lindström You’ve got to mean “Why so many likes”?’ She cannot sing! She’s out of pitch, unless they “fix it”, & she has a flat, boring tone with no strength, no resonance & no feeling. She shouldn’t have been picked by the Swedish Idol jury! They should’ve sent her home with the advice to either “try to learn to sing on pitch or choose another career”! I watched the whole season & not one time could she sing on pitch! She was always out of tune. Her audition was okay with That’s alright mama, because you don’t have to be a good singer for such an easy song & she only had to learn those few chords in that song - they’re not many. No thank you to Amanda Jensens so called “singing”! She was given a place & a chance that someone who can sing should’ve had!

Göran Elmertoft There's some truth to that. I do know rather a lot about music, but I've only listened to anything else by Ms Jenssen in the last few days. She's a lot better than I gave her credit for, which makes it uncool of me to toss that accusation out there. The 'Idol' format kills me, though, and I strongly feel that it trivializes musical as well as artistic merit. All the more reason, thus, for me to leave the comment field alone and listen to her in a different setting. My bad entirely.

I love her voice and also like her rendition of this song. Not technically perfect, but her vocals are raw and she definitely can sing. English isn't her first language either, but she executes it very nicely no less-if I didn't know she was Swedish, I would have just assumed based on her voice that she was an American or Canadian.

Technically perfect if you understand what technique you need to make an astounding effect. You could say Picasso's Guernica is not technically perfect but it is because it redefines the necessary technique as Amanda does here.
