Amanda Martinez is a Canadian actress and singer born to a Mexican father and South African mother. She began acting and singing in musicals in high school but it wasn't until after she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Masters in International Business that she realized she couldn't ignore her calling to perform.
Amanda has had roles in film and television including Private Eyes, Suits, Life with Derek, Kim's Convenience and Designated Survivor. Amanda is also an award winning singer and songwriter with 4 albums that charted on iTunes Latin and world music charts and songs that have been selected for Putumayo's World music collection.
She is currently the voice of Abuela for the upcoming PBS series Rosie's Rules and a composer for the show's music.
