This is an amazing dance. Both the older and younger girl have such a great talent. Being a dancer I know how hard it is to get such a strong emotion across to your audience and I think you girls did a fine job of that. It made me tear up. Don't listen to these haters and wannabes. This dance is absolutley amazing...it made me almost cry and I NEVER cry during dances but it was so good. wayched all of the dances w/ Amanda in them and that little girl is amazing. If there was ever a dance off between her and Brittany Hine she would so win...;)

I never thought that I would ses someone dance to this version from the flash video; however, as a lyrical duet it is beautiful. The young girl is incredible for her age, and the older one (mother?) is an extremely strong dancer and has very good rythyym. Keep dancing!

Hi. Amanda and I work on plenty of other things than just tricks :) We have attended ballet school & have taken plenty of theatre & modern movement classes in and out of school. Our lives do not revolve around just winning competitions. There are plenty of times the both of us volunteered to dance in numerous benefits. We enjoy doing tricks but we both believe there is so much more to dance than just tricks. However, tricks add an entertainment value and we are very lucky to be able to do them

This year she did: Tap - Let Yourself Go, Lyrical - How Can you Refuse Him then changed to Absence of Fear, Jazz/Open - Sway then changed to Raise the Roof. Her duos were Dreamgirls and Colours and her groups were Coffee in a Cardboard Cup, Aye Carumba, Taxi, Pink Panther, Joyful Joyful and Sacrifice. This year she will only do 3-4 groups and 3 solos.

omgshh my friend and i r doing a lyrical duet 2 this exact song! we were going 2 use the little girls voice 2, but we decided against it ((mostly she did)), but i like it this way 2. the 7 year old i thought was really good ((and so was the 17 year old but i kindda expected tht out of her)). im not really sure how they got the little girls voice cuz my other friend did tht 4 us.. but anyways lovee this dance!

Back even 2 or 3 years ago all duos and trios were thought of only that they were good or even could be done if both or all 3 girls were the same height. Amanda has had 2 yrs of tap trios, 2 yrs of jazz duos and 2 yrs of lyrical duos and has NEVER had a partner her height or shorter. If you go to comps lately more kids are different heights & after this duo i noticed a lot more older/younger duos.

They got 1st overall in Intermediate - but they had literally just decided to do duo 2 weekks before the comp so it was a stretch = also we drove from San Diego to San Mateo to qualify for finals (age 11/12)

all of you bad commenters should feel ashamed. how can you say she couldn't identify with the emotion of the song? i'm sure she's lost someone close to her, or maybe one of her friends has lost someone close to them. just because that specific thing, her dad dying, has not occured doesn't mean they can't show the emotion. and their technique was awesome. it was beautiful, period. I wish someone would do that at our studio, that's a great idea.

I guess we did what other people do "ALL" the time. Took advantage of two dancers, that are "pretend" sisters but look very similar and created a very original piece for them. Honestly, they got a perfect score almost everytime except at one regional and at finals. It didn't seem weird at the comps? Most people were crying and they loved it ;)

No = i am amanda's mom. Clarisse is like a sister to Amanda but we are not related. They just looked similar enough that they could pull this off. A duo like this just can't be done w/any 2 kids = it had to be just right - and it was!
