In the dermatology practice that I worked at; the doctor did patch testing on patients to determine what they were allergic to. This consisted of having 3 "sleeves" which had small bits of possible allergens. Each sleeve had 6 items, so you were tested for 18 possible allergens. These sleeves were taped to your back and kept on for 3 days. After the 72 hrs. they were removed. The reddened allergic areas were matched to the bits on the sleeve to see what item was irritating the skin. Patients would get a printout of all the products that contained them, what to avoid and what to substitute for them. Unfortunately, all antibiotics subject you to an overgrowth of yeast. That's why you take a pre/probiotic in between doses.

I also had periorbital dermatitis too. My naturopathic doctor had me take a B Complex everyday and it was like a miracle cure. Now if I run out of B’s or forget, the periorbital derm returns. As soon as I restart the B’s, all symptoms disappear. Everybody is different, so I’m sure this is not gonna work for everybody but it’s an easy thing to try. Good luck.

Dermatitis can be gut related. Might be worth thinking abt which foods/supplements were introduced to your diet around the time you first started getting symptoms, and slowly eliminate them. I watched a video on YT where a lady removed all soy-based products (including vegetable oil) from her diet and her persistent dermatitis went away for good. Everyone is different but sometimes things we eat may trigger issues that manifest in skin conditions. It can be as innocuous as your usual protein powder 😢

Sometimes this happens if the makeup is expired or not fresh, anything you've been using for awhile that maybe needs to be replaced? Just trying to help as those oral medications have side effects 😟 there has to be some imgredient in something you're using make it flare up, sometimes even natural products have like tea tree oil or leaf extracts that irritate the face. Also have you tried Elidel for your face?
