Thank you! Made the same “mistake” adding way to much mix color. Really need 2 only add a small amount each step. The reference helps. Make sure to add references on a separate tray so you can cling film it!

Your color gradient is beautiful. You're very talented. I just began painting dot mandalas recently while recovering from having my aorta replaced. And good grief the sitting still is a struggle but I'm hooked! Your work has me inspired! Hopefully I can get in that practice time, and come close to doing what you do. I love painting and it's the one way me and my mom bonded when I was growing up so it's something special. I'm glad I found this because it's actually relaxing if you let it be. I'm cool with a wobbly and warped dot. 😎

What fascinates time the most is how precisely you were able to gauge how many dots needed to go around the very first center dot and how much of a distance could be between them based on the size of the dotting tool. I bet that took a lot of practice! A beginner might end up with a bigger or tighter gap where the first and last dot meet. After that of course you had some reference for each following row, but even still your precision is admirable and very enjoyable to watch!

This made me think of the perfect app.for people who can't get the supplies, An app where you can choose your rock shape, color the background however you'd like and use a 3d model where you can turn it however and tap where you'd like the dots it'd have each tool you show and it'd include air bubbles to pop. there would be a large and endless variety of colors and its going to be free of ads. You would also be able to make the rocks look however you like and it'd have the option of not just being able to do dots but also normal rock painting! I'd also include my inspiration for the app (you) and I would obviously make everything free and to make it better have it playable on every device!

UUGGGHH I've been really wanting to paint dots on rocks, and this piece is really tipping me over the edge!! Question: I imagine that first row of small dots is extremely important to get straight. How do you make sure you get that row straight and how do you get the dots so they evenly fit around the gold circle?

I was so excited about this video. I had asked a question on instagram regarding a sacred geometry video that showed tool sizes. This is exactly what I needed. The only thing that went wrong is after I finished it I had to redo 3 dots. I tried recreating the same color but did not get it exactly right. I know I will have to be more careful in the future. Thank you so much for this video, it is much appreciated.
