A "little" is a new member that an older member mentors throughout their experience through college and the sorority. After sororities finish recruitment/rush and receive new members, everyone goes through the process of big and little. It is usually a mutual process where new members and older members go on dates to see who would be a great big sister to a new sister.

Its a group of female students, they usually do like charities and a lot of social events

Sororities are housings if girls and fraternities are for guys but normally yea it a family or large group of people who all live together and do fun charity work and other things. The names and combinations of their names are from the Greek alphabet hence why hers is alpha phi. In amaerica we have the pwi(predominately white institute) and then there are hbcus( historically black college university) and there we have all black fraternities and sororities. Greek culture used to be really big not so much anymore especially if you aren’t a legacy and following family tradition.
