Wouldn't that just mean that the guy would have two dead tails after a few days? (because they cannot drink as well) I'm not a doctor, but evil scientist guy should kinda... take that into account? I feel like a lot of actors are really dedicated to their craft, even going as far as the actors in this film. I have massive respect for those that can take a role/job this far, even if all of the gross stuff is special effects and makeup. Like Amanda said, you're still having your face/mouth dangerously close to another human's rectum and genitalia even if you aren't surgically connected to them. The licking of the blood was pretty disgusting, theater blood or not. I don't think I could watch The Human Centipede for myself, despite my love for horror/slasher shlock and the hilarity of the Saw franchise. For some reason Hostel (especially the eye scene) and this disgust me on such a deep level that I just can't, and I laughed my ass off through all of the Saw films.

There's actually a lot of psychology in the second one as well. There are even theories of how much of it is a dream and his dealing with his abusive household and arrested development. Have a fun laugh: listen to Alec Baldwin’s “Here’s the thing” podcast. He interviews Tom Six and he’s quite the fan.

Im having flashbacks to the time a nurse accidentally tripped over my IV line and it flung out and a little blood fountain showered the floor. I had the same reaction you just did. When a line is pulled out in a film like that I want to die.

The “Horror” genre doesn’t mean that it’s going to be spooky, it means it’s going to be horrifying and this is pretty horrifying.

I just found this one slow paced and boring... But I find most horror funny at best, so no doubt I'm not a good horror reviewer! :D

Yep it's all about the scatology and most of the grossness is implied, you really don't see it. Unlike part 2.
@lilithlove75084 жыл бұрын
Part two was even gnarly for me and I NEVER say that. The first one was actually pretty good, great cinematography and it was perfect in its ability to only imply what’s going on and still mess with you.
@Alberich_Prince_of_Dwarves4 жыл бұрын
I think it might be the scatology that gets me the most. And implied things are much more effective than being shown a thing IMO. Your mind just makes it so much worse than I feel they could convey on the screen. That's also why I think a graphicaly violent and gornorific film like the Saw franchise is more hilarious than scary - nothing of it is implied, the effects are either terrible or the believability just isn't there.
@jonathanzuckerberg88504 жыл бұрын
@@lilithlove7508 I haven't seen part 2 and probably won't any time soon if ever but it really seems like the first one took the premise just about as far as it could possibly take it so I guess the only thing they had left for part 2 was over the top gross
@lilithlove75084 жыл бұрын
@@jonathanzuckerberg8850 yeah part two is basically zero plot and ALL shock factor.

@@Alberich_Prince_of_Dwarves I get that. The Saw franchise is crap anyway. It’s hokey throughout IMO. It’s verrry rare that a mainstream horror film ever messes with me in any way. I always have to go obscure and massively effed up to get to me. The fiancé and I watched a low budget one last night that actually got me and I was so happy something ACTUALLY got me to go “Nope! Not looking at THAT!!” 😂 No scat involved! Lol
