The Failure Effect

Жыл бұрын

Amani Maranga, a marketing and communications executive and current host of the men-only podcast Living Truthfully, was doing really well in his career, holding two jobs that put him in the orbit of the rich elite of the country, and starting a successful communications business... until an unfortunate decision he made led to the demise of his marriage. Thus started a downward spiral and bout with depression that took him many years to overcome, and a necessary 'meeting with himself' to figure out who he really was and what he needed out of life. This is his story.

Key lessons: 1. Culture eats strategy for breakfast 2. There's no vacuum in culture. Be intentional. 3. Culture = values

Wayua, I saw what you did at 53.15. Let us see how this works. Sasa, there's a guy called George Ikua. I would really want to hear from him

At around 4.36 when Amani said, ".... it's not so much about my experience but about my desire to see people live fulfilled lives at home and at work," my mind immediately thought about George Ikua. There is something similar about how these two men talk about life.
