Just in the first 13 minutes, this has made me realize, I’m not ready to get married. I haven’t lived for me. I just turned 30 and I sort of feel behind because I’m just now realizing all of this. It’s eye opening but God’s timing is perfect. Everything will happen when it needs to.

I just found your page. I'm 67 years old and single. Today, one of the brothers from my church called me and asked me to go to lunch. I was already eating so I said I would pick him up and he could come back and can have lunch with me. He said i don't want to eat what i was eating but he would like to eat me. This came from a man that is already living with a woman he claims that he's not sleeping with and that he doesn"t trust. Not that I care because he's not for. The only things we have in common is we are both military veterans and our income is comparable. I would love to be married but I'm no longer settling for anything in pants. I'm too old to deal with foolishness. I so much want to live for God and not be distracted.

Please remember to set your bar high. You teach a man how you want to be treated. Why do you offer to pick him up and bring him to your house? You have just lowered your standards when he asked you out to lunch. As a man, he's suppose to lead. Unfortunately, you set yourself up for that. I would want a healthy marriage for us all. @daughteroftheking014 ай бұрын
@@zyleymacruz333 Let me first say, many of people have found love in their church! On the flip-side, it can get really messy if things go left or make you look loose if you're dating them all lol. I also like my business to remain private when dating. I would like to think I'd be friends with the person if I find someone in my church interesting. The good part of dating in your church is the pastor can speak to his/your character (or lack their of) lol, you both are submitted to the same pastor and elders already, etc. Ultimately, GOD† makes our love story so.

So she did "date", just not getting intimate. Plus, she had lived a full life in the world and had gained an insight into human nature and how the world functions. Therefore, she had reference points, life skills garnered through her life experiences, to help her make an "informed" decision, not just waiting on God. Nor was she a clueless18 year old ingénue, she was a fully realized adult.

True! This "don't date" advice is great for fully realized adults. This is not for 21 year olds. If you're young, please date for a while, maybe a year, before engagement, and then do couples therapy after engagement, cause you need to learn more about how people work before you get married. We understand people and ourselves more in our 30s.
@andraroselondon4 ай бұрын
This is such a great advice- there is a place for dating and a place where dating is not needed.. Two very mature adults can meet each other & bypass the dating phase cause they are fully mentally mature & aware. If you lack this, pls date!

So that begs the question, Is dating and courting different things? In my mind when I hear dating I think of people going out on dates (obviously), possible boyfriend/girlfriend lables, sometimes involving sex But when I think of courtship I think of ppl who still go on these dates only the dates aren't AS romantic,they're mainly just getting to know someone, there are no bf/of lables, and there is no sex or kissing even I think they're more or so the same. The big factor between the two it seems is the sex part. But even so, some ppl will say they're dating but they'll do so as if they are in a courtship

This episode blessed me. I’m fresh into an apartment of my own with my 21 month old daughter after leaving the home I shared and helped purchase with the father of my child. We’ve been separated and at odds for the past 9 months and I finally decided to officially separate myself from him 2 weeks ago after having enough!! Being that I’m on this walk with Christ and he simply is a non believer we were unequally yolked. Last month he went to Jamaica for his birthday for an alleged “solo trip” but when he came back home he went bragging to the neighbors about having group smex with complete random women out there. That completely hurt me and still does till this day, to the point I want revenge, but after looking at this video it humbled me into realizing that although I may have a child out of wedlock there’s still a potential change for me to find a God fearing kingdom spouse and to be married and finally in a healthy relationship/ marriage. I know my chances maybe impacted because I gave a man who isn’t my husband a child, but I have hope that if I do the work and wait on God’s divine timing I will be able to experience marriage!

Love this! So happy for both of you. It’s important to be true to yourself and let spirit lead you despite what anyone else says. When you posted the video with the story about your ex, I thought it was weird that so many people had an issue with it. When it comes to relationships, especially marriage, it’s about who aligns with your soul. Being nice is great, but it’s only part of the qualifications, like you said. Staying with someone when your heart isn’t in it is only doing a disservice to them and you. Why should you settle? And who wants someone to be with them because they settled? Eventually it would’ve all crumbled anyway and then it would’ve just been time wasted when both of you could’ve found the love that was truly for you.

I really think that soulmates exist not in the sense that they are half a person until they find each other, but some people are destined to marry some specific person who is suitable to them. Joseph was told to take Mary as his wife. Esther was set up by God to be chosen by King Xerxes for such a time as that. Eve was designed to be suitable for no other man but Adam. I think it's important to realize that in each of these scenarios, God has a plan for these people to support each other in a purpose that went beyond the marriage itself... something that became a blessing or was meant to be a blessing for the surrounding society or even the world. But the vast majority of people are not necessarily meant for marrying a soulmate. They just need to find someone compatible, with similar values, and a similar level of integrity.
@favourobasiolu45127 ай бұрын
Oh wow interesting. I like this perspective. So do you think that God picks who he wants to have a designed soulmate for? Like if there’s a purpose he wants to accomplish then he creates people with their soul mates? Idk I have so many questions lol
@crystala50337 ай бұрын
@@favourobasiolu4512 Great questions. I'm not really an expert, but I expect that since God knows everything from the beginning, He already knows who will fulfill what purpose and how and what is best from the beginning. It sounds like you are asking the order in which God thinks of soulmates verses the purpose he sets for them, but God probably just knows everything all at once.
