A grew up watching their videos. They were incredible volcanologists. Some of the bravest people around - they got some of the best volcano footage.

I've long loved watching volcano documentaries, often featuring the Kraftts. They were an amazing couple, and did introduce most of us to what volcanoes looked like as they erupted. Following a passion such as volcanology, certainly took a lot of courage, and I believe they were devoted to each other, as well.

I saw Maurice and Katia Kraft at a Conference on Volcanology in Hilo, Hawaii in 1987 where they presented a film and narrated it in person. It was a real treat. I was devastated to learn of their deaths by pyroclastic flows on Mt Unzen in 1991.

The director's hair is very interesting

It's the bangs lol! She has this soft, slightly wavy, lovely hair and then the stark contrast of the short, hard, straight line of the bangs which reminds me of Mo from the Three Stooges. They used to say your mother put a bowl on your head to give a haircut that had bangs like this. Somehow it suits this lady by opening up her sweet, smiling face. Interesting is a very diplomatic (?) choice of words. The director is talking about volcanic eruptions and love and death, yet she's so charming and earnest and makes me smile just watching her speak. Definitely, a very interesting personality and haircut lol!

The nervous ticks of this interview subject are very distracting. All the gesticulation and mouth clicking and sucking sounds are a bit annoying (also, she keeps looking down at her notes).

Sara Dosa is a young newcomer … ANYONE (male or female) is apt to show some nervous excitement about finally winning international praise for one’s film! Congrats to Sara Dosa & crew! Fortunately, the “volcano lovers” had no dependent children ? …Otherwise, Sara Dosa’s smiling giddiness here could possibly seem to be an attempt to gloss over as ok the couple’s “thrill seeking,” volcano-courting obsession. After all, this “up beat” film is streaming now on Disney. These two adventurers were certainly trailblazing volcanologists, as well as artists!…R.I.P. The dual of Beauty & Death is always a draw. Yes, I will see the “Fire of Love.”

Actually, that's 'tics', and the only noticeable nervous clickings and suckings emanated from your puerile comment.

I didn't even notice any of that as distracting. I thought she was so sweet and charming, and her beautiful smile emphasized how taken she was with her subjects and their story.
