In Washington, D.C., the investigation into the January 6th insurrection continues. Details are emerging about efforts made by Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the 2021 presidential election. Mike Giglio is a journalist whose focus is on war, terrorism and national security. In his latest piece for The Intercept, he profiled Stewart Rhodes, founder of the Oath Keepers, a U.S. paramilitary group that took part in the insurrection. Giglio joins Michel Martin to discuss who he is and what drives him. This interview is part of Exploring Hate, our ongoing series on antisemitism, racism and extremism.
