Ghost guns and the reason for gun rights. Well, you might need a gun to shoot down a drone and if the government (which promotes gun ownership) doesn't allow for the legal purchase of a gun. Well then, if you see a drone attacking you cannot shoot it down without a gun. So that's why ghost guns are popular.

As a Canadian, I have never understood the US obsession with gun rights. Too many guns for my liking in Canada too but we don't have absolute rights under our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Individual rights are always balanced against the public good. And the vast majority of gun crimes in Canada are committed with US guns.

Have you been paying attention to Pierre's plans for us? We are going to see a pretty dramatic change in gun laws. Because, and I quote, "real Canadians need guns." Mr. Poilievre said exactly that in Parliament. I suspect you and I are not real Canadians.

I so appreciate your reporting. Thank you for bringing so many issues to light in a pragmatic way and tone. It’s so easy to feel panicked by this issue and others you bring to light. It keeps viewers like me informed and aware.

This is nothing new - you can 3D print guns and even rocket launchers too. There definitely needs to be gun reform, but also need to address the root causes for why someone would walk to school with a gun in the first place.

Anyone arguing for ghost guns to stay legal is ridiculous.

If you ask a European about the biggest difference between us and the US, the liberal view of handguns and handgun violence always comes up. And honestly we will probably never fully understand our cousins in America with their absolutism around the right to own and carry handguns. Here, the cultural and ideological distance is simply too great. We understand every word, but still the sentence doesn't make sense...

Why should guns be traceable?

Duh? Because guns in the hands of unstable people can be used to kill people.

Are you being serious? Are you one of the people behind 3-D printed guns.? If not, you sound like a 2nd Amendment absolutist.

Guns should be traceable so that their owners can be held responsible for any misdeeds. Simple. That said - There are so many gaps in this system that anyone arguing otherwise is just barking at the moon. I'm a gun owner and 60% of my guns are registered to my name, a few I inherited from WW2 and some I purchased from friends and friends of friends. There would be no way to trace these secondary market guns accurately without the due diligence of the "new" owner - that is if I registered them voluntarily.
