Amaranthe is a really great band from Sweden. They are famous for having three vocalists. The current lineup is Elize Ryd (clean female vocals), Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson (harsh male vocals), and Nils Molin (clean male vocals). Their most recent album, Helix, which debuted in October of 2018, is an absolute masterpiece. Their best work to date. In other news, literally four hours ago they released a new song featuring Angela Gossow called "Do or Die" and it's pretty great. Check it out!

Listening through all Amaranthe albums today and out of all albums I saved no song at all from HELIX. How is this the best album? I really love the old songs like Hunger (really nostalgic) and a lot of songs from the newest album Manifest :)

Theyre great live, seen em twice now had the vip pass and watching the band behind the scene so to speak after their show with their kids n all looked like a big family made me smile...ordinary people with extraoridnary talents cheers from sweden

AS the tour was cancelled due to Corona......Wouldnt you say guys that its a good idea to react to some more of their best songs? I mean it will be easier afterwards to know everyone by their first name if nothing else ;-) ;-) (referring to your words before the video). It would be very nice to see you react to "Boomerang" "Drop Dead Cynical" or "365"....or why not the wedding video from one of the bandmembers (only Elize singing with her clean beautiful voice) as its a wedding ...The song is called "Endlessly"...and its crazy beautiful!!!

I'm still on the fence about Amaranthe. While I get diabetes from their choruses, they are talented and it looks like they're pretty successful, so they've probably helped a decent amount of people get into metal. I guess that should have me come down on their side. #FrowbackFriday. It makes sense with a German accent.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I need Amaranthe to get a little more proggy and less cookie cutter to maintain their appeal for me. I love metal and pop yet I feel like it's too simple for me. They are so good and talented but the cheese needs some elemental additive,length,and labor to go along with their tremendous sound. The bore is real. ........This is not a hate thing it's just necessary for the push to the next level. Much love sent to you guys reacting and the band creating this stellar 3 minute heart attack tune.....by the way I think guy on the right needs to laugh and smile more. Maximize is the only song I've heard from them that really pulls off the pop metal well. Hard to get through so many of their other songs. The new one is okay because of Angela Gossow and being less poppy, but it's still a bit off, and the messaging is too alarmist and preachy.

I liked the debut when it came out, but lost interest pretty quick. Elize is a good singer and nice to look at, but the voice is pure pop in my ears. Too much pop for my taste. I rather hope Olof awaken Dragonland again, they had some good powermetal releases back in the day.

That was the best line-up and also the only time they were interesting to listen to. Unluckily it went all downhill from there. Saw them live opening for in 2018 Powerwolf and they nearly ruined the evening because someone thought it to be a good idea putting them between Kissin Dynamite and Powerwolf and they couldn't deliver like at all.
