The era of the horse and buggy is gone. Population in India has exploded. In 1941 the count was 389 million. But that included Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The 2021 estimate of India is 1.4 billion. However, life expectancy in 1941 was 32.6 years and the 2022 estimate is 70.1 years. *so decide now, would you prefer to live a life in purana zamana for an average simple life of only 32 years? Or rather live in the current hectic times and hope to live at least 70 years, although these are just averages.* You talked about the ills of media. My advice to you is, stop watching television news and only read from an established newspaper. Personally I never watch TV news. Unless you are in politics, do not get engrossed in political partisanship. In this aspect the world has become power hungry, greedy and vicious. Evil people with corrupt minds will use race, religion, caste and language as divisive tools to create disunity and dissension to divide people. Political activities are usually characterized by artful and often dishonest practices, so avoid falling into their trap. Use your intellect and stay on the right path (Quran: Siratal Mustaqeem) by gaining knowledge imparted by God. Reading Holy Books of major religions will help tremendously in building a strong character. Do good works so your parents can proudly say, “Ranjit is not our son, but a spiritual child of God”.
