Chakka is a song about the cyclic routine of life. About how we lose ourselves to this and forget to love, fully and truly, not just everything and everyone around us, but also ourselves. It's a song that reminds us about what constitutes the 'I' that we are actually quite proud of. It's a song that tells us to love and live again.
About the artist:
Founded in 2016, The Aahvaan Project is based on the nirgun philosophy of love and the works of sufi saints such as Kabir, Lal Ded and Lalon Fakir.
Vedi Sinha, one half of the Project, says, “As children, we were taught Kabir’s dohas and the concept of oneness. But amidst the rigmarole of life, we forgot these ideas. With the Aahvaan Project, we aim to promote the philosophy of love, humanity and kindness through everyday stories and really, un-learn.”
The Aahvaan Project's Sumant Balakrishnan (Guitarist, Vocalist & Songwriter) and Vedi Sinha (Writer, Storyteller, Vocalist & Performer) have performed at festivals and venues across the country, including the Mahindra Roots Festival and Bangalore International Centre.
