She does now. She blew it out in like 2008-2009 and had to have surgery to repair her nodules. You could hear some damage in it during Voltaic in like 2008. Then you watch her live stuff from Biophilia in like 2011-2012 and her voice sounds so much clearer after having the nodules removed.

The question i have for you is: why should someone else sound like her??
@___xyz___
@___xyz___ Жыл бұрын
Because the variety of sound she produces is very desirable, and I consume her music faster than she can produce it in replayable quality? I mean that I literally listen to her albums to the point of listening fatigue, or until I natural lose the energy of interest. Now, I personally don't actually think it's _necessary_ for anybody else to even adopt her style. But I can definitely see why someone might feel that way. Björk couldn't possibly hope to fill the entire spectrum of music in this kind of style in her lifetime. Well, it begs the question what "this kind of style" is exactly. She sets musical trends and moves along gradually. I don't see the problem with anybody else picking up the baton she left on her way to continue what she started. Because of her innovative trail of works, I believe it should be celebrated when her legacy grants her that tribute in the form of albums in a similar style. It's not as if she couldn't be enjoyed creatively just as she is commercially.

My thoughts exactly! Though I think Taylor and Beyoncé are being acclaimed because they also dance while performing and because their catalogs are less wide than Björk's but they still manage to pull 3 hours long concerts. But anyways, we still gotta give it up for Björk because damn! Singing so well and during such a long time at her age? Impressive.

Dearest Björk, I've been listening to you since the early nineties, when I was a teenager and I am be thrilled thinking that you're always looking for a new sound; you're the hunter: you're going hunting of music 'cause, for you, it is not a product but a process and each lyrics that you write are a collection of emotional peaks, like a storytelling of your (and my) life, through your songs. You are ART in everything you do because after cds have evaporated you had courage to grow along with sound technology was growing, to turned your music into a gift for us, as listener. You’re someone who absolutely loves music and I think you started wearing masks for Vulnicura album in 2015 to hide your sorrow after your painful break up and ever since then you use it to convey the sensation of music through your stage costumes and voice only (there is your creative process and then there is how you expeience life). Gratitude back to you. Warmth and endless respect.

I missed her Coachella performance. I'm so glad that I can watch this. This is probably the closest I'll get to see her live. Been a fan since Venus As A Boy played in the background in the movie The Professional or Leon. Bjork, if you read this, you have fans in Hawaii. I would love it if you came to perform in Honolulu. We have volcanic activity on Hawaiʻi Island. Mahalo for your music.

i was thinking the same,it s amazing how she started from being the most different artist in contemporary music,filled of beats, loops, strange instruments...to move on expoerimenting with more classical intsruments,then choirs,strippin it down til the core,doping an album with just voices, to then start anew with a renewed consciousness about music and melodies and search of inspiration .....to end up here in a sorta Classical Concert but totally Bjork Style.... i m astonished so far (finished hearing joga now)........her look is incredible,her voice sounds good as before,and the vocal and lyrical expression is excellent...the Orchestra really enhances her dramathic feel ,i love this

Her voice is so good and unique that she could perform all of this a cappella, and it'd sound great and be just as compelling. I like how the orchestration is never overpowering, but a nice complement to her singing. She's a real talent and artist.

I appreciate her contribution to music, but beyond the theatrical elements, it’s the musicians she hires who truly shine. As a singer, both in studio and live, her talent and interpretive skills fall below average. If you separate her from the musicians, the difference is clear. The musicians' work stands strong on its own, while her voice lacks the same impact. Still, I get why people, myself included, continue to support her for all she’s given us.

Mmmm! A truly amazing artist and probably one of the most innovative and individual voices in contemporary music. It’s quite an achievement to put together over three hours of music which requires an inordinate amount of stamina. Kudos! I’ve seen her quite a few times live through the years and I must say that her voice doesn’t seem to have its usual power and command in this performance that I’ve experienced in the past. But what an incredible artist:)))

Love Bjork so much. I remember getting her album post on cassette tape in 96 when I was a teenager in middle school. I used to listen to it Alot. None of my other friends liked her stuff but I was into all kinds of music and found her music to be extremely soulful and inspiring. I thank bjork because I learned so much from her and truly have lived free to just be myself. That's all we really need to do. Learn to just be ourselves, love who we are, and work on becoming better. Enjoy the ride and give everything your best shot. You are worthy. *Chase initiation and ascend. I believe in you*
