@@MonsterrificDino There are insane riders that are Ams. Don't disparage the term Amateur, it just means you are not paid by a team, or company and not competing in pro level events. Ams are way different than recreational riders, advanced, or even people considered expert. I competed at the amateur level for 7 years but with work and college didn't have the time to really dedicate myself to trying to make that next level. Pro class, in any sport is the absolute pinnacle of skill and it now being your vocation.

I grew up in the pre-park era in the late 80's early 90' and we hit tons of side hit and natural jumps. It's important to point out that you should watch out for traffic, use a spotter, and avoid busy trails - which you guys did.

Loved the video. That looks like the perfect day on the mountain to me. Challenging yourself on some fun side hits. It doesn't get much better. It's funny that people in the comments are complaining that you call yourself an amateur and not pro. He doesn't get paid... so he's an amateur. I'm an amateur and do flips and spins on skis. 99% of people doing flips and spins are amateurs.

YES he is the definition of an amateur, someone who is focusing on their weaknesses and improving on them, compared to a PRO who can just always land a double backflip or darkside 1080s, when you compare yourself to what’s actually possible on the snow you realize how beginner you are
