This is my first time seeing a bike race. Can anyone explain what the whistles are for? It seems they are placed by curves/turns to let the rider know there is a curve there? That's insane riding!! Thanks for sharing. That Lourdes run was incredible!!

The whistles are to let people know that someone is coming down the track, so anybody who stopped to look at lines or something moves away to let the rider go
