The most amazing thing about these shows are not the parlour tricks, although he does execute these well. Its the participants coming over all medieval and terrified despite the fact that they know he's a magician and he tells them quite clearly that its all tricks and misdirection.

For once I knew what how he did it. The “dead girl” was easily forced. By following the pattern of choices of the colored and black and white photos making new choices according to his directions-- you ended on Jane no matter where you started. 2 of the people made mistakes but actually made it seem more authentic by having different named ending photos. That made everything else work out

I love the way he tells the people to do stuff... for example when the first 3 hold the glass he says to the first 2 “are you ready?” Then to the last person who he wants to move the glass he says “are you happy to do this?” 26:55 The same as when he gets the girl to come through as Jane he says “you’ll be able to do this brilliantly” 39:06 sub consciously giving her the confidence to come through as “Jane”

I did a quija board and it worked. I was proper freaked but still didn't ring true. Tried it again after researching for reasonable explanation and I didn't. Both were organised tours. I saw everything so differently on the secon I saw how we were all worked, why they did things and the order they did it, and how most people hung on every word the guides and mediums. I experienced negative response for asking sound questions and I felt pretty much blamed when the glass wasn't moving because I was blocking the spirits. When I left the room with all left behind hooked to find out it worked and the table tipped! Of course this can be explained in 2 different ways and the tour guides would say they were right.I was blocking the spirit., However I now believe I did block it but not from blocking spirits!!! Whether they believe what they practice, I don't know but I'd like to thinking people who take money from people for ghost hunts will.I've done some research themselves, not blindly believe and then sell this belief!?. Those that believed were so truely in it they don't question anything.....in what other thing in life does this really happen, and with something there is no proof of. Religion and being I'm spirit is So lucrative because it works on faith alone to a large degree!

How come Derren Brown does not investigate this program called The Dead files. Whereby a retired NYC detective works out huntings that have been affecting occupants mentally as well as physically sometimes causing the occupants to physical harm and causing them to leave their homes. Amy his partner does not know what the occupants told her detective partner but she takes a walk through the residence and sees the dead people that have been hunting the house and disturbing the residents. At the end they both meet up and compare notes as to what the residents told him that was afflicting them and what Amy has seen and found. Both coming to a comparable verifiable conclusion. Also depicting a drawing of the responsible demons or spirits whom have been terrorizing them. DERREN BROWN IS A ONE IN A MILLION CHANCE YOU WILL LOOK AT THIS AND RESPOND !!

There could be answers, but on the flip side of having those, it's likely if there's more they feel cleaver for having up their sleeves that they'd share it. That and, humans in weird and pseudomagical states may well be highly peculiar in a not classical kind of way.

I wrote nothing discernable. Though it does look sorta like four letters. I chose the room opposite of the one she picked. I did pick Jane. My glass moved around, but not near a letter. And, I already knew that the girl was not really dead. I did not pay attention to any seeding of words or phrases. Guessing his people were running around in the dark moving the stuff. I think the channeling may have been legitimate. Just because a person is alive does not mean you cannot channel them.

LB B thats a very bold assertion - you do realise that he states that no actors or stooges are used ? and that the exact same results were achieved the 4 times I saw him live in front of thousands? was everyone else on the payroll as he thew frisbee's into the crowd and instructed them to throw them onto others to choose his next subject ? However , there is one unusual side note - the guy at 12 minutes was so affected of that experience that he gave up his University course and does now play a part of his production team such was the impact.

He explains in one of his books how you can do it instantly. Like when stage hypnotists get volunteers up & just touch their heads & say 'sleep' & they instantly go under. The interruption of an automated action the brain is expecting (in this case a hand-shake) with a distraction (grabbing the hand with their left hand & touching their forehead) can induce an immediate response to obey the command to sleep.
