A real shame that transreflective display is gone! It's really an underrated asset. Sure you trade away a little vibrancy but transreflective displays can be made quite good if not choosing the cheapest. Sure amoled can be sort of always on too but it's not as useful as transreflective with its full feature full information. Furthermore no burnin or other sicknesses to worry about. Amoled is for watching movies and other non static content. Transreflective LCD for low power battery powered devices with lots of mostly static information. Backlit LCD for computers and mains powered devices.
