Depends what you want it for, as a smart watch the T rex is miles ahead. As a pure outdoor fitness tracker it's closer.

This is where the term “100 meters waterproof” comes from. it means that you can go swimming with it on or even go snorkelling. 10ATM doesn’t mean you can go diving 100 metres below sea level while wearing the watch.

GS Pro is better and has more accurate heart rate tracking. Proper fitness enthusiasts on KZbin reviewing the T Rex Pro all say the heart rate tracking is terrible and for me the watch is OK for the Gym, but tracks my heart rate incorrectly when out bike riding.

Amazfit GTR 2 sports edition is sleeker, thinner, and has more features including Alexa built in. The T Rex is far, far more rugged, it's a mini-tank on your wrist. If you're jogging, hitting the gym, or road biking the Amazfit GTR 2 sports edition might be a better choice. But if you're mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, scuba diving, camping, cave exploring, or any 'hit the ground hard' activities the T Rex is a better choice. Amazfit GTR 2 sports edition has a far thinner bezel which doesn't protect the glass as well as the T Rex, and the buttons on the Amazfit GTR 2 stick out so they will get ripped off the first time you wipe out on your MTB or bang it on a tree. I'm active outdoors doing all of the above... I went with the T Rex.
