8:27 300km is stormworks geostationary orbit which means that you are in an orbit where you will always be facing the same side of the earth so from the earth you won’t move in the sky. A normal orbit will move you across the earth map

The line is sort of like a trajectory, great for seeing how little manoeuvres can make a big difference in space

Btw the navball should be blue, so you have the physics sensor pointing sideways !
@ZipDoodleGaming21 күн бұрын
the yellow line is your trajectory, the green dot is you, APG is your apogee (highest point in your trajectory) VS is your vertical speed in kilometers per hour (idk why but I personally prefer meters per second)

If you have ever seen a game called Rogue System, On the heads up displays on the spacecraft in that game, they have a projected nav ball system, with your Prograde, Retrograde, Normal, Anti-normal etc. markers projected in front of your viewspace. But also, it has a projection for your current velocity vector, demonstrated by a tunnel of rectangles that you "fly through". Something like that on a 3x3 HUD could look pretty spectacular. Something similar to nav hud in KSP1

@@Newt_Works thats a great idea!! thx ill try something like that fro the next updates

I have a question with the trajectory line: is this an accurate depiction what happening, or is it just a visualization? I think this stuff works like that there are layers on a flat world, like a cake, let’s say the first layer is idk 80km thick and you can use the jet engines in there, the next layer is 20km thick and still in the atmosphere but you couldn’t use jet engines in there, the next layer is 100km thick and you get pushed around the map, the next layer is 200km thick and you get pushed around a bit less and so on until you get to 300km where you standing still until you get to the moon where this whole thing starts backwards again. Is this right? It’s at least what I would do.

Looks KSP ish... Would be insanely cool if you could add a planned maneuvers like KSP too

@@connycontainer9459 apoapsis is the general term for any orbit, apogee is specific for earth orbit. gee is the greek sufix for earth. For the sun is apohelion , thers one for every planet/moon

The 1x1 monitor is straight from KSP it shows which way to rotate if you want more x y or z axis when trying to achieve orbit

The lag is bc of the amount of monitors, this lua code renders a looooooot of points

APG Is Apogee, and for planets besides earth and most commonly, Apoapsis since that references all planets/moons/exoplanets/dwarf planets/asteroids. For Apogee it is pronounced Ap Like in Apple, then OO- and then G- and for Apoapsis it is once again Ap- like in Apple, OO- and the Ap- like apple and like your little Sister for Sis-. Hope this Helps! Oh my goodness I can't stop editing this comment! But just a heads up if you use a custom fuel tank using the in game fluid spawner set to Liquid Hydrogen and Liquid Oxygen it will contain a bit more Fuel! And also, I would like to know does the engine consume exactly the same proportions of Hydrogen as Oxygen? Thanks for the response and I hope this once again helps!

Your lag, as you should know with how much you've played. You most likely forgot. Is due to the multiple instances of the monitor feed to the same thing. in simpler setups that's not much of an issue but when working with a 3d'ish format it can be a problem. Plus your playing a game that rarely sees reliable performance fixes anyway

Right so space sh** right you got your NAV BALL, that's your blommin pointy up thingy artificial horizon, it shows your vector and orientation relative to a reference body (PLANET) Then you got yer trajectory line, the yellow orbit line, that's that, it shows you your current orbit that you would take if you were to coast. APG is the Apogee, the highest point of the orbit you're on. when it says sub-orbital, that means that you're in space but you're not quite in a stable orbit, meaning you will crash back down to earth if you don't fix it. Get it? Got it? Good, back to the video
