Amazing 69 Camaro Build - Root Beer Float

Check out this amazing 1969 Camaro build. So many little details to see from shaved door handles to an integrated rear spoiler. Aegis Armors had the honor to be a part of this build providing powder coating services along with paint correction and ceramic coatings.
This build was a 2+ year process. All of the suspension components, rotor hats and calipers were powder coated to accent this beautiful paint scheme. After the build was completed, it was brought over to Aegis to perfect the already amazing paint job, then apply our Aegis Armors ceramic coatings to the entire exterior, engine compartment, wheels, calipers and glass.

Being completely honest, that's the same thing i thought when I first saw the car inside under poor lighting...why brown? After paint correction and Aegis Armors ceramic coating the color just came to life. Once outside in the sunlight, all the gold popped so hard and it looked amazing.

yeah a lot of guys on the westcoast back in the 90-s 00s were painting older cars the color especially in east bay Oakland. that and "cocaine white"

That's color is what we called Root Beer Brown. I always Loved That Color as always been My favorite.

I'm glad you caught that too. Everytime I went by our red doors it made the car look reddish. I didn't realize what it was at first when we were editing the video.

Rear spoiler fits that build perfectly Stock one would look cheap and unfinished on this particular one Love paint jobs like this. Grew up during the 70s so...

Yes sir, it's definitely a unique color. It looks amazing in the sun light. I think the builder said he had over 60 hours forming the ducktail into the trunk and two fenders. So much attention to detail on this build. We have a 68 Camaro vid coming soon. Def stay tuned for that one.

This body style pretty much fits any color and this color isn't bad. If i did I own one though I'd want one with a brighter/lighter color... but that's just my preference.

I've never been a fan of brown cars. That is until I found a sweet deal on a Desert Silver Metallic 2002 Acura RSX--a very classy colour that really pops in the sun! Since then I've seen a couple Root Beer Metallics at car shows and absolutely love that colour in the sun. Pictures or video just doesn't do the colour justice. It seems like every car company stopped offering brown colours 15-20years ago. That's because their browns looked like different shades poo, and no one wants to drive in a poo mobile.

Appreciate the comment. I know the builder spent a LOT of man hours molding that rear spoiler in. Thats what his customer asked for, and he made it happen. At the end of the day, it's all about personalizing your car to the way ytou like it.

I'm not sure about the base color, my presumption is it was gold base. We only paint corrected and ceramic coated.

Not sure of the color name. we did the paint correction, polishing, powder coating and ceramic coating. I can tell you the top color is a Toyota color (I remember the builder making a comment about it) and there's a gold flake base color under.

Sorry to disagree, MOST people can't paint a car this well. And the video shows what's under the hood. Nothing super crazy, the customer asked for a moderate power build that would be very reliable. A 550 HP naturally aspirated motor (engine just for you😜) fit the requirements

crate motor? so you mean only the alternator is built by crate? Because a motor conducts electricity (alternator). A combustion ENGINE is what powers a vehicle. so, maybe it's a crate ENGINE

Well, it is a Pro Touring build made to handle and perform like a late model performance car. Doesn't make much sense to have all that suspension and big brakes and then put a high profile tire that flexs and rolls over on itself...kind of defeats the purpose of this particular build. That being said, it's not for everyone.
