Amazing Art for the Chateau!!

In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. KZbin earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:

I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

That wavy border is called ric rac. My mother, and all generations back to Czech villages were seamstresses. My grandmother sent my sisters, and I boxes of dresses, check of course. Mine were always the blue ones. She sewed without patterns, with our measurements alone. She always sent ric rac decorated aprons for my mother. So fun to see the gifts.

Wonderful day to see you opening gifts. I few weeks ago I suggested the American Liver Foundation as a charity and I mentioned my two great nephews. Well I would like you to know that my youngest great nephew, age 14, has since received a new liver and has been discharged from the hospital and is doing great. Thank you Mary Kelly. You might say it has been a very rough couple of years for the boys. They have struggled all their lives with liver disease and now they both have fought their first battle. We are all hoping and praying it is their last. They have parents that did not give up finding out what was wrong and never gave up to make sure the boys got the best care that was out there. I am always so blown away by the generosity of the gifts sent and this was no exception! The wonderful paintings by Oleg were abundant and magical to say the least! People may think me crazy when I say this, but when I see all of these beautiful things I can immediately see the “”God Spark” in all of them…that is where the amazing talent comes from in the design and creation all of these items. I am as far south as you can go..Thomasville, Georgia and we call them Tea Chests, so I wouldn't say it is a southern term. I more or less think, tea caddy or tea chest is used interchangeably in the US.

Yes, tea chest is good for the box. Most of our American terms come from British afternoon tea customs. Not so many Americans use loose tea, which needs the enclosed space of the tea caddy. I also have decorative containers from a Chinese tea shop.

As you opened the gift from Rhode Island, USA, it reminded me of a wonderful art installation in Providence, Rhode Island called Water Fire! If you do a quick Internet search you will be able to see the incredible Water Fire art installation. It is illuminated about once a month all throughout the summer and it is a spectacular and fabulous event! Maybe someday part of the new La Lande Lake could have some water fire inspired installations in it!!

Stephanie love your videos x if you ever have a chance to donate to premature babies intensive care unit for an incubator to help these precious babies survive at the beginning of life , my own granddaughter was born at 26 weeks weight 2lb got a bleed on her brain and fought so hard in her incubator for 10 weeks now she's 7 yes old and a beautiful blessing to earth , these nurses and doctors who look after these precious babies are earth angels 😇 god bless

I think there are some going up in the Grand Salon with the new paneling. Some day, Stephanie wants a library in the winter salon.🤣 For now there are lots of small book selves in rooms and a hallway.
