Amazing classic film of the Fiat Lingotto factory with the roof-top test track

This is an amazing little historical classic film of the Fiat Lingotto factory, famous for having the roof-top banked oval test track. It's been released to mark a new exhibition just opened, The “Lingotto VIVE & RIVIVE. Quand’era una fabbrica”, “Lingotto LIVES & RELIVES. When it was a factory,” at the Lingotto Shopping Center, Turin.
Thanks to drawings, photographs, films and iconic vehicles, visitors can relive the history of the famous Fiat factory in the period between the early 1920s and the late 1980s. The exhibition will remain on view until 31 December 2020, at Pavilion 5 of the Lingotto Shopping Center in Via Nizza 230 in Turin.
FCA Heritage contributed videos and photographs from the Centro Storico Fiat for the creation of this exhibition. Centro Storico Fiat houses a superb collection of cars, memorabilia, models and advertising posters, plus a huge archive that tells the story of the largest Italian car manufacturer.
The Fiat Lingotto factory was inaugurated in 1923, and is still admired today for its extraordinary modernity, elegance and for the breathtaking solution of the rooftop test track, which at the time astonished many architects.
Over the decades it became the birthplace of numerous legendary models and contributed to the motorisation of Italy. Lingotto found ways to renew itself to adapt to the needs of a changing urban context and - while remaining a symbol of industrial archeology - the factory has undergone a long process of internal restructuring, leaving its charismatic external appearance unchanged.

Man, I studied at the polytechnic institute next door years ago, so one day a group of us got one of the security guards at 8 Gallery to let us up onto the roof…and it was so freakin cool. We walked around the track imaging how crazy it would have been to drive up there. The cyclical parking garage (one of the first shots in the vid) was awesome too, such an amazing building.

The sound effects ruin this and it doesn't help that some don't even make any sense, such as the bursts of air for the pneumatic torque driver for what most likely were tubles and solid tires.
