no, may be Aiswarya Rai is, not Madhuri Dixit, I guess she took some lesson from Pandit Birju Maharaj ji for the performances in "Devdas", but that cant be called as "Classically trained". A Classically trained dancer needs minimum 7-8 years to be called "trained" in full form. She's a talent, nonetheless.

Goddess Durga is a fierce form of mother goddess who was manifested to kill a demon called mahish who was causing chaos in the heaven . The indian classical inspired dance by Aishwarya and Madhuri, the amazing vocals by Shreya and Kavita Krishnamurthy, the set design, the attire, the jewelry, etc is just stunning. The best part is that Both of them are great dancers especially in case of indian classical dance, Aishwarya is a trained Bhratnatyam (Indian classical dance) dancer and Madhuri is also a Kathak dancer ( Indian classical dance); thats why you can see how fluently and beautifully they carried out this. My all tile favourite song. Even though a girl, Aishwarya is my all time crush. Love it ❤.

As @Bhgvtishreelalita said yeah it is performed for the worship of goddess/devi durga she actually defeats a demon called mahishashur [mahisha means buffalo (regarding to its buffalo head )and shur means asura air demon ] actually mahishashur mediated in mountains to get a boon from bramha(the creator and soul of universe) and he wanted that no man or god can kill him andas hi cleansed him self with the meditation bramha granted it and with that he turned chaos into the swarg(heaven) so getting defeated by him the god came to the tridevs[bramha,Vishnu, Maheswara/shiv,(creater,preserver and destroyer ) they told what had happened to swarg so to compete him the created a heavenly light that made the arival of 10 handed goddess devi durga one by one the gods gave her their astra(weapons) she got her vahan(carrying animal)the lion from the Himalayas (the mountains and also the creator of maa durga)and the trisul(trident)from shiva. the arrival of her is called the mahalaya she was able to kill mahishashur as she was not a man and not a god (she was a goddess ) then she fighted witg mahishashur for 10 days and 9 nights and finnaly at the tenth night sge impaled the trisul in mahishashur's chest leading to mahishashur's death that's why we worship her ahe is a symbol of strength and bravery ok too long😂😂😁😁
