Hi Eddie....You always make me laugh with your realistic vlogs, especially the coffee making attempt. Thankyou for taking the time to answer my question from the last vlog. I am at the stage that you described perfectly of taking photos for the sheer enjoyment of myself but on the edge of watching others like yourself in choosing compositions. By the way the way you capture light and colour in those woodlands is to me in the vicinity of " Wow " look at that shot. As for coffee, boil the billy at home before you leave... but then like me spill the hot coffee down my pants and them jump around and almost disappear into the infinite trying to lessen the pain...well done again.

I think if you start down the path of pleasing others you present obstacles that needn’t exist. Please yourself first and foremost, that means you will never have a 100% failure rate… because at least one person is happy with your work. The rest are just poorly informed and probably blind.

Some epic conditions there Eddie. One of those days where you wish you could split yourself into 4 to save running around like a headless chicken. Well, that sums up my approach when the conditions are great anyway!

A headless chicken would have far more grace and composure than me.

Damn thing is already on its way back. When it working the coffee was great, but I’ve read too many complaints with the same issue. My hunt for the best portable coffee solution continues.

Great video Eddie, love that shot at 5:17. You should just stick with a flask for your coffee :)

Thanks Richard, I have a suitcase full of shots from that brief period of ridiculously good light. Very pleased that I trusted my instincts and stuck around. That bastard machine cost £130… Fortunately it’s already on its way back.

FYI, NiSi makes a close up diopter that will turn your 70-200 into a quasi macro lens for about £100.
