This is actually really easy and once you see what each stitch does! Thank you for this video. What I really like about this, is you can make it medium or large, and putting a stitch in each ridge on the brim is so much easier than counting/using multiples of 3,4,5 stitches.

You can make this with any yarn! Doubling up just makes it bulkier, I used size 4 and it looks GREAT! Also, yarn balls will usually have 2 ends available , one inside and one on the outside, and it pulls from each. When you double up, you just treat the yarn as if it was 1 strand.

@RibbitHopX2 жыл бұрын
You can. Most size 4 yarns doubled are equal to a size 5 (bulky to chunky), some will be size 6 (chunky to super chunky) since some size 4 are thinner or thicker. You can try making the brim and see how it goes before completing the hat.

I don’t have any chunky yarn so I’m working with two strands of DK. It’s quite easy. I’ve used this method so many times. It’s a great way to use any excess yarn you might have. It’s not stiff if you watch your tension and use the right size hook. Give it a try.
