I heard some very convincing evidence that the temple mount area was actually the Roman Fort Antonia in Jesus' time, and the Temple was to the south adjacent to David's palace area. Josephus' writings seem to corroborate this as well. However the Israeli Antiquities Authority reject the theory.

My father told me I needed to find God myself so I read the Torah, the Bible and the Quran that we’re all from the same year the Torah in the car on do not change much the Bible unfortunately does try reading all three again you’ll be amazed at the similarities and differences.

The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947 and contained copies of every old testament book except for Esther. These scrolls date to 200 BC and translate exactly the same as modern bibles. So the Old Testament was the same 200 years before Christ time as today. As for the gospels, there are more copies and fragments in existence than any ancient documents. There are 24,000 copies in eleven languages. These also are consistent with each other and with modern bibles. We also know that the earliest church Fathers were quoting from the gospels in their own letters in the same century as Jesus lived. Jesus died and was resurrected in 30 AD. Polycarp,Ignatius of Antioch and Clement of Rome had the gospels and New testament letters in the first century. Where as Jesus fulfilled 351 prophesies, Mohammed the author of the Quran wasn't prophesied. Only the Quran claims that Mohammed was a prophet. Only the Quran claims to be the final revelation. Only the Quran claims that previous prophets were Muslims. The Quran also denied that Jesus died on the cross despite Jesus predicting his death and resurrection six times in the gospels. So, while the Old and New Testaments are clearly not corrupted, the Quran from 700 years after Christ attempts to make changes to both. But even archaeology from the region is proving the biblical narrative over and over again. Truth cannot be hidden. Nor can lies.

Besides, when there are many additions to the Bible, like the story of the adulterer and many verses being omitted in modern times like Matthew 17:21 which encourages fasting and prayer. The earliest Quran manuscripts can be dated to around 10 years of Prophet Mohammad’s pbuh death. Meanwhile, in the 200s-600s, Rome burned Bibles, banned the apocrypha, did not permit common people to access the Bible, and they persecuted Arians as heretic Christians with the wrong beliefs. That said the earliest Bible manuscript “Codex Sinaiticus” is 400 years old, and yet it’s missing many things that are present in the modern Bible like Mark (16-9:20) which is an account of the resurrection. I find it weird that the Church cares more about banning the punishment of adultery more than advocating for prayer and fasting.

Very interesting. I’ve been under the Temple Mount walking through Hezekiah’s tunnel(s). It’s somewhat of a rabbit’s warren as there are a number of tunnels going off it deeper in the Mount, and as I remember one going up that was crudely blocked off. Also, when I was last in Jerusalem in 1980 I walked under the rock in that cave, no one else was there, and as I remember it was at least partly carpeted. I’m sure there is much more in the western side.

Back in August 1978 I visited Jerusalem, and with the aid of a Muslim Arab I was able to visit the Dome of the Rock, including the chamber under it. It was very instructive, and your video helped to answer some questions that remained. I remember there were Jordanian custodians at the Temple complex.

I am of Ashkenazi Jewish origin on my maternal side and while I do not follow the religion, I greatly appreciate the background, especially the critical points of disagreement of between jews and muslims over the dome of the rock. It would seem without doubt that the Jews have the legitimate claim to that real estate. The muslim religion having been formulated and refined in much more recent times is better understood as to how it was a work of man or should I say men. The muslims have an attraction for taking over previous holy sites, inventing a history and making them theirs. But others have done the same before them. But 1.8 billion muslim people do have a lot of power, but maybe someday they become more tolerant of the jews as the many of the christians have done. The only hope is for some powerful religious men on both sides to reach an accommodation that both religions can reach agreement and fraternity over. All jews do have at least some DNA that ties them all together, but most muslims are not even semitic, but are those whose ancestors were either pagans, jews, christians, buddhists, or other religions. They have not genetic or familial ties to the site, but still some agreements will have to be made. Many Palestinians do have Jewish ancestry and this is something that many on both sides do not wish to know. Nothing is ever simple in the middle east.
