If they serve rice with spoon it will be good. Other items are served with spoon. Very good. Once in Imphal I couldn't eat food in one festival because they served everything with hand not spoon. Many years ago. Now lot of improvement.

What u r saying is right. It concerns hygiene. The things is there are certain rules/standards of hygiene to be followed by the cooks while serving n cooking, before distribution. But coz its a case of hygiene. Same way, I don't eat street food or dhabas here in North India. I feel like puking.

I have seen that Meiteis in Assam are stricter in observing Vaishnavism, way more than the valley dwellers. I have lots of friends from college who were from different districts of Assam.
