Hi Vivi thanks for all the beautiful tutorials. Here I just wanted to ask you, how should I go about if I wanted to make a smaller bag with hard cotton yarn? Last time I followed one of ur tutorial and the bag turned beautiful but it was little bit heavy and big as my cotton was hard and little bit thicker as urs! Idk if I may have made a mistake, but this bag is quite huge! I didn't realize how big it was 39:13 39:13 39:13 39:13 39:13 39:13 39:13 at first.... but near the end when I realized I was running out of cord, I decided to leave the last 5 rows of the main pattern off, so I could finish the bag with what cord I had left....I used just about 599 meters! It used my entire huge roll of 656 yards. I thought I'd at least be able to make 2 bags with what I bought! So I measured my finished project and it was a bit larger than the one in the video. I feel like the cord she uses is more like a 1mm. I could be wrong...and maybe my cord is just bigger than 2mm...idk. But my dimensions were (l × h × w) 33cm × 48cm × 16cm I've been trying to figure if maybe I made too many chains in my foundation chain or some extra in the other rows of the base, but so far it seems I've copied the video exact so far. If I find I did something different ill try and comment again on here :) Good luck! All in all... I still love that this bag is so big! I'll try and attach a pic of my bag so far....I havent started the last rows for the handle. 39:13

The 2mm cotton rope I got from Amazon is just too thick and I had to use the 3.5mm hook. Finished 3rd row and the length of the base is already at 38cm. Can I just skip row 4-6 of the base and move right to the pattern on row 7?
