I am a bit too old now, but would love to build or supervise a house build. The biggest mistakes being made worldwide is using re bar that is not coated. This allows spalling of the concrete on the exterior of most buildings ( starts after about 12years ). What should happen is the use of galvanised ( not epoxy ) rebar in all reinforced concrete/block work ( this is good for 70+ years ). That is why you see concrete bridges in UK being dug up and reinforced. Also find where fault lines are in PH. If you do a good job it wont fall down!.

Just love these. They would be great for the UK as these look really sturdy. But who knows with building regulations over here. But I will chat to people in Phili about this for when they build in the future.

I think We use approximately 5000 blocks to build our house so 5 moulds 5 blocks a day it would take us 2.7 years to make the blocks
@superfly81584 жыл бұрын
it doesnt take a day to make a block.where did you get that.ive seen one man make 200 blocks in a day with a manual mold.an electric powered one and 2 men can make 5 to 600 blocks a day.

@Bill McFarlane Mindano If I made 50 a day, how long would it take to make?

@@superfly8158 If you only have 5 molds that 5 blocks in two days. You can't take the mold apart before it's dried completely. That's where ie got that.

Thanks for this video. I was actually trying to see if I could order this at Lazada, but before doing so, I thought I'd check on youtube if anyone's try them and here you are! At P700 per set I figure they're a bit expensive for small projects. At any rate, they really work!

Suggest your friend put down a piece of plywood. Save the deck ! And cleans up easy.

There's not enough open ground for drainage, they better have a good storm drain system. Making block by hand is too time consuming, you must be able to buy quality blocks for a reasonable price.

You can order these and other moulds from alibaba. Get at least 50 and a cement mixer as well and you can bang them out fast. You might even turn it into a cottage industry. By the way when the blocks come out of the mould and look dry they need to be submerged into water for a week. That way it will cure better and stronger. Also, don't brush the oil, spray it.

You should start a hollow block making business, any unsold blocks can go towards your future house.
@johnharris46354 жыл бұрын
Good video just a couple of points first is the mix 1 to 6 is a mortar mix, concrete mix needs to be 1 to 4 with some small stone mixed in not just sand next looking at the moulds they are for straight run and not interlock corner.Hollow blocks in most cases are used as infill between posts and many not tired in properly.My house build will start next year and if and when you decide to make the jump i will be willing to help you.

I I was him he should give up on that idea with the blocks .. tell him to look at Texas filipino , he built his own house with no hollow blocks.

Yes very doable, even if you hire Phil construction crew and oversee mixing and curing the final product would be great.

I was advised at one time, 'Don't sell your house in the UK, not even if you go to war' the guy was a casting agent for TV, so i took my house off the market. just thought i would share that with you. My filipina partner and i have bought a Park Regency Home in Visayas. Iloilo, Had a kitchen extension built etc. Have followed you since you went to the Philippines,

Nice work. Wonder what the cost difference is. Buying blocks already made vs. this way.?

Is there any place in the Philippines that you don't hear roosters crowing? :o) I'd use the imperfect blocks in the ground for a foundation.
@lifeinchrist774 жыл бұрын
If there is no mortar between the the blocks you will have to make a very good job of rendering the outside of the wall or water will come through the gaps as a capillary action, one small hole is all that is needed to get a wet wall on the inside, unless he anticipates in building a cavity wall.
@ccatalano42364 жыл бұрын
The first time I've heard of the use of "rendering" in regards to construction was in this video. In the U.S. the term "plastering" is usually used.

These subdivisions are low income housing. There are plenty of other beautiful subdivisions available but more expensive. The higher the income the better the up keep. As for me, I would prefer this over a mobile home in America.
