I went to Medjugorje in 1990 as a skeptic, non-baptized father of 2, age 41; largely because of my pilgrimage and the events at St. Maria Goretti Church in Scottsdale,Az; similar to the apparitions in Medjugorje; I am now a Baptized Catholic 74 years old with 7 children and I would NOT trade my Catholic Faith for anything!!! Praise God, Glen. I too went to Medjugorje in 1990, a few months after my 7th brain surgery. That was my 7th and last brain surgery. Tumor disappeared. 30+ years and 10 children later….

My wife and I visited Medjugorje twice. On my first visit, I was a little bit sceptic. Mother Mary gave my wife a very beautiful gift. We were hearing mass in the large opening behind the church. Suddenly there was a commotion and my wife turned her head and the sun came right in her eyes. She dropped her rosary to the ground and when she picked it up all the beads changed colour, with the exception of one bead that retained the original colour.

I don’t understand how anyone can be a skeptic. If one just listens to the testimonies of the heart not the sensationalism and look at the fruit - the conversions, the healings, the gift of faith. I am grateful for Going to Medjugorje - my love for the Eucharist, Jesus and Our Lady is the greatest gift for me., and it all became “real” because of my pilgrimages to Medjugorje. The facts about Medjurgore - the way Mary acts/talks/advises the seers, are in stark contrast and in fact, diametrically opposed to other Church approved apparitions, Do a deep dive. That's what the Internet is for. Start with Dr. E. Michael Jones as just one source, He's done the deep dive and the facts do not lie. This is just Catholic Disneyland, not a true site of an actual apparition. Who says so? Well the local Bishops for one, who would actually LOVE for these to be authentic, but they just are not.

I was healed there from a speech disability that I had suffered since my childhood. I was 18 years old when I went there in 1993. My first day there I could talk. I felt love that was not of this earth. I was walking through the fields there learning the Lords prayer. That is when I was healed. I was loved by something I could not see with my eyes. But I looked up and saw the sun moving all over the sky! I do not know how to type this in words. It is not possible. It changed my life and it was the start of my Catholic faith. I am so very thankful to Jesus and our Lady for healing me. It will be always in my heart.

Not saying Satan has anything to do with it. After all, there are many Masses, confessions, rosaries, prayers, a beautiful retreat. What I do believe is that it is not the site of an apparition. One of the things that has to be possible for it to be deemed an apparition, is all messages need to be in accordance with Church doctrine, and that was not the case. The blessings of this retreat/shrine are beautiful tho. I hope one day you are able to attend an approved apparition site, if you have not already.

There were no messages from Our Lady contrary to any catholic dogma or teaching. The visionary who said Mary said all religions are the same denied it and said they were mistaken. I’ve been to Fatima ( too commercial and the Risrn Christ on the Cross in Lucia’s town????) and Lourdes - went in the baths as did my late husband who was not cured but that’s ok. We both loved our Lady. . Been to Santarem, Lanciano as well. By their fruits you shall know them- of course Satan wants Medjugorje gone! Unscathed in the Croatian war as well. Entire parish goes to the 6pm mass as well. Wish I could return.

@@maryannstypa4859 And that is part of the problem. The 6 "seers" could not get their stories straight and kept changing it. They even admitted the whole thing was a lie at one point. It turned into a money making scheme. Satan doesn't want it gone. It wants to pull people away from the real places. If all those people went to Fatima etc instead, the fruits would be enormous! It uses Medj like dangling the sweet apple in front of Eve. By the fruits you shall know them. Exactly. The forbidden fruit. Oh how yummy. Think about it. Fruits and cures can happen at any place where people gather to pray, but that's no proof of an apparition.

I also have been to Medjugorje, 1991, it changed my life, confessions by the thousands, I had the grace of meeting Viska and I have believed since them. Started a prayer group back in America for 18+ years and pray the rosary daily and pray that man will come to believe that Jesus is the son of God, and the Blessed Mother... My husband had a small visit by Mary while he was praying in the church....that scent of roses and no one was near him.... If you ever have the opportunity, go, pray, get healed and believe in God....

So Father you accept this Medjugorje as a miracle even though it has been strongly rejected by the Bishops ,sincerely why then should I or anyone be a Catholic it is far easier to follow other Churches , being the seers of Medjugorje said all faiths are from God?Did Jesus start a Church or not don't the Sacraments have real meaning?One ,Holy, Catholic and Apostolic means what to you?There are many approved Apperation, Fatima, Lourdes Akita for a few yet you chose Medjugorje. Our dependence is on Jesus who instituted the Catholic Church and gave the Sacrament of Reconciliation to it for the forgiveness of sins committed after Baptism. "Whatever you loose on earth will be loosened in heaven and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven."

Our Lord Jesus, too, was condemned by the religious authorities of His day. Rewatch the video, see the lines of confession, 50,000 in Adoration, conversions, miracles... Jesus said, you’ll know them by their fruits. The fruits are unmistakeable.

@@maryannborg184 when we went up communist Yugoslavia in 1990 to visit Medjugorje, I remembering my first thoughts… ‘This must be how Heaven is.’ People spending their day and night praising God (Mass was said in various languages on the hour), praying (Rosaries everywhere), seeking to know God more (visiting priests, confession, listening to talks... from early AM to late PM. The sense of Peace was almost overwhelming; and this in a mountain village in the middle of communist Yugoslavia. It was amazing. Changed our many lives in our family.
