I find their chemistry to be funny. Jimmy is just being Jimmy that’s why he has his show, but Bob is always cool, acknowledges the jokes but then brings it right back to the science and still looks genuinely happy about his experiments. re 2:10 What he meant was that the remaining air is the amount of air that was dissolved in the water vapor that displaced & took the place of most of the air that was in the cool flask before the water was boiled. The truth is that it is air that was just sucked in by the sudden gush (@ 2:00), because he did not have enough blue water above the neck of the inverted flask. If he had done it 'right', there would have been an inch more blue water, which would rise smoothly & very quickly up to the bottom of the flask, and no exciting final filling gush (air rushing up thru the already lifted blue water, and there would be little if any bubble of air.

What is happening is the rule of physics where the velocity causes the subject to move in opposite correlation with the origin of the force, the force being the wheels and the velocity being forced upon the string. Here is my theory on why it the spinning string motor thing works. Bassicaly it depends on centrifugal force, and Gyroscopes also depend on centrifugal force. In other words it is a self making Gyroscope of string. And the reason that the wave of string goes up is because the string still wants move, so it changes shape while it moves.

When I was a kid, I used to prank people with vinegar bombs. I'd fill a yogurt container (which used to have lids - now they just have tinfoil coverings) with vinegar. Then I'd dump some baking soda in, put the lid on, ring the doorbell, and run. The waves are just vibration waves caused by the string behaving as an elastic object for the tensions (caused by the accelerations applied to it) intutively the waves should move in the same direction as the string, however if we consider it as an elastic solid we can describe it’s behaviour

Glad I'm not the only one that notices how Kimmel acts with people that aren't famous. He comes off as extremely condescending in the first two projects.
