I love how the dark wax makes the checkerboard look. I think the watering can came out great and I actually like how the wrinkles make the can look. The acorns are really cute and now I have a reason to use some of the leftover easter eggs I've got!

That checker board turned out really nice espresso adding the antiquing wax. The watering can looked so good. I like how the paper wrinkled some. It made it look old. Oh, but those acorns were adorable. I dot have the plastic eggs but I suppose I could use wooden ones as that’s all I got. Cant wait to start making some. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍👍🌟🐦‍⬛

Oh that board is perfect Shelly and I made some acorns like urs same fabrics too then I made one with 2 shades of fall colored yarn now the prob I had with the yarn was the hot glue...what a mess...my fabric ones turned out great tho...at least!

All these projects turned out great. As someone else said in the comments, you are my favorite crafter. You have inspired me to try to refresh some items at my own house. I do have a question, though. When you paint an item that you plan on "aging" with the antiquing wax, do you use chalk paint? I've been working on this old wooden bread box I've had for 15 yrs. I used a chalk paint. When I put the antiquing wax on and then tried to wipe it back, it was very blotchy. Either I need more practice or I'm using the wrong kind of paint. Thanks for any advice.

Thanks Doris! To answer your question, before using the antique wax on chalk paint (or any paint really) it should be sealed with a clear sealer, wax, or have it in the paint. (like Fusion paint) This makes it easier to add the antique or dark wax and wipe off. And makes it less blotchy. I hope that helps. 😊
