Since your in Kerala you need to try(this is just Kerala regional food, since they have coconuts and they by the ocean): 1) Beef and Parotta (one of the best dishes in Kerala, roast and fry), 2) Appam (Palappam and chicken curry), 3) Chili Beef(thin strips of beef and green pepper, onions) and Parotta, 4) chicken roast, 5) Kerala Fish Curry (super dark red in color, sour in taste) and rice (some people like kappa with it, which is like mashed potato) 6) sadhya served in a banana leaf, with like 10-15 different side dishes (there's a place called mothers veg restaurant) (try many things, as you dont know what you dont know) 7) Kalappam and duck curry, squid ring fry & and rice 8) Varutharacha Erachi Curry 9) Nadan Kozhi Varuthathu 10) Kerala Prawn Curry and Nice Pitari (its a basic flatbread, found in the south) 11) Karimeen Pollichathu and rice ( its a fish dish, wrapped in banana leaf) 12) Kerala Fish Fry and rice 13) Erachi Varutharacha Curry (fried ground mutton curry, and appam or kalappam or ) 14) Idiyappam and Egg Curry 15) Puttu and Kadala Curry (cylynderical shaped coconut rice and chickpea curry) 16) Malabar Chicken Biryani or Thalassery (each region in India has their style of doing Biryani, chicken or mutton are the tops) 17) veg dish of Rice, and Avial ( coconut, carrot, whole bunch of veg), Erriserry(squash or Pumpkin), Kachimoru(soury yellow yogurt), parippu curry (yellow lentil curry), 18) Thattakada chicken fry 19) Dessert items like kerala style halwa and semiya payasam (vermicili noodle, milk, cardamom, cashews, raisins) 20) Masala dosa 21) puri and potato curry or sabzi (different styles, but fried flatbread, with yellow potato curry 22) snacks like fresh banana chips(sweet type or salty or spicy), Vada (3 types, savoury donought or the fried lentil or fried onion), mixture (peanuts, fried noodles, a bunch of crunchy stuff, like a chips equivalent), kasava chips (spicy and soury), neyappam, payrm puri (very ripened plaintain fritter) , jackfruit fry, kuzhalappam, achappam (aka rose cookies), murukku 23) fish cutlets (you can find beef cutlets, or meat versions, but I think the tuna fish is the best one) 24) lamb fry/roast Once you tried that... then you can say you have conquered Kerala, but there's still a lot more to try, since everyone is so used to the north, the south has really good dishes... just no one knows.

I remembered cycling to Varkala and then back using the beach road in 2018 when I was on a visit home. That was a wonderful at the same time taxing experience. We started early in the morning as a cycling group. The trip to Varkala was fantastic but we used the National Highway which obviously have denser traffic. But the way back was really cool as we used the coastal road from there. My mistake was that I was not used to the heat as most of my riding was done in Bangalore before that. I made the mistake of not acclimatizing myself well enough before the ride. But on the way back we had explored one spot where we got some cool palm toddy. But I started cramping heavily when I neared Kazhakootam. Sure would want to retry that ride now that I am settled back in Trivandrum.

Alappey backwaters, Munnar hill station, Fort Kochi & Jew town in Kochi city, Athirapally waterfalls. These are my recommendations.❤️ Don't walk too much at noon. Drink more fluids.

Wonderful Vlog. Some other wonderful beach experience in Kerala State can be explored in Quillon, Kochi, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram and Thalasseri Cities. Munnar, Malom, Ranipuram, Wayanad and Vagamon are best Hill Stations Town in Kerala State on the UNESCO World Heritage Site-Western Ghats. Hope you cover these places in yours future vlogs.

U can visit jadayu.... Biggest sculpture of a bird.. Surely your next district will be kollam... When you are going to kollam choose the road between sea and lake .... It will be an amazing experience... U can visit sambranikulam ... mostly like mangrove... It's amazing...😍

Nice video brother . But very few foreign vloggers explore offbeat places in Kerala. You should try beaches and food in North Kerala, trekking and camping in hilly areas such as Idukki or Wayanad. There are many forest stays run by government and private firms. Do try.

If you travel 30, 40 kilometres from Munnar, you can reach villages like Yellapetty and Vattavada. Many campsites are available there. Wild sherpas in Yellapetty and magic valley in Vattavada are nice camps. Near Kumily you have periyar tiger reserve. If you check their website, you can find many forest stay options. You should visit villages in Kodaikanal, in Tamilnadu . Kookkal, poombarai and vellagavi are some must try places to understand village life in mountains.
