I say this as one fourteen years your senior, who has heard this beautiful hymn since childhood, with a greater love of it each time I hear it…John Newton penned Amazing Grace in 1771,and the song patiently waited 251 years to be sung as in this fashion. As you have seen from the previous comments, Dan Vasc (Vask) is a classically voice trained singer. He is Braziian and his voice ranges from Baritone to male Soprano. His favourite genre is Metal but he has videos of Religious, Opera, Rock, Metal and many other genres. He has also taught others to sing like his does. He can hold one a single note for more than a minute without the sound distorting. Dan has been sent from heaven to bring love, caring and joy to the world.

Bring Me to Life is unbelievably good. His pure metal songs are: The Number of the Beast (Iron Maiden), Black Wind Fire and Steel (Manowar) and The Last Stand (Sabaton). It’s not only enjoyable, cool or good, these words do not make justice to what you’ve listened to. To do so, we all have to use superlatives and words that express the highest forms of surprise and admiration - maybe we’ll have to make up new words to qualify the extreme talent, power, beauty and emotion this artist conveys in every of his covers, without exception. But you are forgiven, as you keep watching to Dan’s videos you’ll also run out of words to depict his tremendous musical genius.

How beautiful, strong and meaningful this is!! It is as if Michael himself were walking the Earth - with his wings of Light folded over his shoulders, speaking in all the languages of men, leading a choir of angels in praise. Daniel sang in the 4 native languages of most of his fans - because he wanted the "message" to reach as far as possible. He can sing in 7 languages, without an accent - this is due to classical training, which accentuates consonants and not vowels. Yes, he is a genius... 🙂 And he is a force of Nature - perfectly controlled and directed by years of hard work and an enormous sensitivity to "acting" on stage. What a magnificent work!! Thank you for your reaction! It's always a wonderful opportunity to see people encounter Daniel's work for the first time. Hugs from Curitiba - Brazil 🇧🇷 Note: As you are a veteran (🙏🏻), you might appreciate - among the wonderful suggestions presented here - Daniel's version of the American Anthem on the occasion of your "07/04”. If you watch it, also watch, next, the video he made of an "Apology" request; he had problems with "anti-American" sentiments on his page and resolved them charmingly. 🙂

Nice reaction! It's always interesting when people experience Dan for the first time. The "choir" behind him is all him, BTW. For some different aspects of his voice and presentation, I recommend The Music of the Night, the Mulan cover, and the Gethsemane scene from Jesus Christ Superstar. All the Witcher metal covers are great, and lots of other suggestions have been made. The thing about Dan is that one can't grasp the scope of his voice without hearing quite a few different examples. I've been down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole now for about two months, and I'm still often astonished. His vocal and stylistic range, his breath control, his almost perfect enunciation in English (way better than most native speakers), his delivery, and his passionate devotion to are all superlative. Looking forward to more Dan. You won't be disappointed.

Very well done! You did a very nice summary of the languages (missing only his native Portuguese, which I see in the comments you did figure out just as soon as someone mentioned that he is Brazilian). Plus you figured out his voice well...for THIS song. Since everyone's doing Christmas reactions right now, I hope you will react to Dan's FIRST Christmas song that he posted on KZbin quite a few years ago. He did Handel's "Hallelujah [Chorus]" from "The Messiah." That brings up one thing I THINK you mentioned in passing, here...he does his own harmonies. Still...until you hear the song I just mentioned above, you have NOT hear his entire range. He uses that range in other places, but in THAT one...well...let me just tell you that it's a 24-part choir... Dan is...3 high sopranos & 3 low sopranos; 3 high tenors & 3 low tenors; 3 high altos & 3 low altos; and 3 baritones & 3 basses. Plus...yes...he sings it in the usual key. I used to be one of those high sopranos, but I also ran parts for all of them, to help the directors, from the time I was in Jr. High on. It is one of my very favorite songs in the whole world, and Dan...does what Dan does. I hope you'll check it out. 😀

Hello, I just found your reaction again to Dan Vasc’s beautiful Angels We Have Heard on High from a few months ago. I enjoyed your response, and wonder whether you would consider reacting to Dan again. I remember you commented on his tenor voice- he actually has a range of almost four octaves, and can sing pretty much anything. He has extensive vocal training, both classical and contemporary, so If you’re not particularly a metal fan, there’s a great deal of other music on his channel - folk, ballads, Disney, 80s covers, classical- whatever you want, Dan can do. Please consider giving a listen to The Music of the Night, or the Gethsemane scene from Jesus Christ Superstar, for Broadway Dan, or Nessun Dorma for Opera Dan. Or, if you’re an Elvis fan, give a listen to his incredibly moving Love Me Tender - be sure to play the intro. Thanks!
