I actually use bottles to catch bait fish, but I put bread in them . . . NOT rocks and sand!! It works almost instantly, and the fish inside the bottles stay alive . . . even by the next morning. This video is bunk!!

I used to go to my Creek with my kids and catch fish that way. That's how we fed the turtle. Only thing that would go in are minnows and once in a while a crayfish. Mine were never dead tho. Fun video.

The concept works but you have to put some sort of bait inside to attract the fish. They didn't show that. Dirt and sand was to weight the bottles down in the water. I would add a few small holes at the bottom of the bottle for water circulation and help make a scent trail for the bait.

WHY would MOST of the fish be dead after only one night? Only two or three were alive? Yes, the fish were inside the trap, but the traps were submerged in water! And also there was water inside the traps when they collected the traps!!! Who would honestly believe this? Haha!!😅

Odd way to catch bait. Most died due to asphyxiation. He didn't bait the bottle, obviously plenty of them around so a simple net would have don't the trick and caught live bait. The bottle trap could be used in other more productive ways if baited and big enough. Hope he didn't throw the bottle where he stood, I'm sick of seeing plastic in our seas. I always leave the shoreline better than I found it.
