So many memories! I had a Manta GTE in the mid 90's, cost me £500 and was a great car. Wish I had kept it but I needed something more 'practical' and had no storage so it got part exchanged. Oh to have a crystal ball!! Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing what you do next.

Maybe a good idea (looking at the condition of the thermostat) would be to drain the radiator and the cooling systeme!!! Just to get out all the rust!!!😃☝

Merely interesting, that GM has decided to use Opel nameplate for its sporty segment like Manta and Monza on the UK market, but not Vauxhall. It's really an amazing find! Appreciating Your efforts related to this particular model. By the way, I drive a RHD Vauxhall Astra Mk. 4 in our LHD environment. Greetings from the continent.

I would recommend you spray wax protection in all the box sections (inside and out) and sills asap. The Manta’s love to slowly deteriorate right before your very eyes 🔧🔧

Could you show me the oil pressure gauge while revving , i have just collected a manta gte today ,its been off the road for 5 years , it runs fine but i have noticed that the oil gauge pointer is off the scale while running , great videos this will be a great help ,thanks

@peteroliver2769 yes sure. If it goes of the scale with just ignition on its normally that the oil pressure sender has the wires in wrong order. The other common issue is that the wiring goes behind the exhaust and ends up being melted.
