What Mr. Burns said about one piece maple necks is something I have believed for years. The frets are literally set into the wood, not just into the fret board. So there is sound transfer through the neck and into the pickups and the rest of the guitar. That's why these older one piece maple beauties sound the way they do. Like an acoustic guitar, the whole instrument is making the sound. I do like the sound of rosewood board Fender guitars; they have a bit rounder tone. It's a different animal from these one piece wonders, though. His explanation really makes perfect sense. The next time anyone tells you there's no difference in materials on any electric guitar, send them to this video. Very cool, Marty.

You could do installments of this as a series until he's told stories about every guitar in that house. Love that these beautiful old instruments aren't collecting dust. "They need to be played." -Maple Burns

Please keep doing these Marty, when you deliver that "pizza" I will drive the car & pay for the gas, just wanna be at that party, hell I'll pay for the pizza too! Hey Marty, This video just hits home how conservative the new generation can be brand led with the conventional approach to instrumentation and their approach to playing. Trying to fall within a marketable music format as well. The old timers were true renegades trailblazing ; commercial success was second mount and pure expression / tone & innovation was at the forefront. That is what created the music scene we all look to in-order to get inspiration...Lets hope the new generation of musician break out the template. Keep teaching and showing the way, so hopefully one of your 300k subscribers can treated us with new music that shocks and interests us. cool idea to mix it up with this content...Cheers from London uk.
