The female vocalist (one of the live "Espera" trio of backing vocalists) is Lynsey Ward. Her three-piece prog rock band Exploring Birdsong are AMAZING, and have been incredibly well-received by the fans when they've supported Sleep Token on tour. They're really cool too in the way they don't use any guitars, it's all pitchy bass and keyboards, but they still rock HARD.

One thing about Vessel live is that his passion is there every time. It's not manufactured, it doesn't feel just like a performance. It's incredibly palpable. I don't think we'll ever get a performance like this ever again. This was so long ago and a very intimate couple of hundred person venue. But regardless, their live performances are amazing. It feels like worship, even if they aren't intended to be gospel songs. Vessel throws his emotion into every performance like it is church.

So glad you did this one, Vessel's talents go beyond the normal way of singing. Chris Liepe believes vessels emotional crying that he does behind that mask is what gives him some of that untouchable tone and connection to the audience to the point the audience also tears up from the way its being sang. Cant wait for a day when we have some new Sleep Token, this reaction ride has been awesome and has made me a fan of you guys.

The female backing singer is Lynsey Ward. She's a member of Espera, the trio that tours with Sleep Token. She has her own band called Exploring Birdsong that has noticeable Sleep Token influence. You should check out her cover of Deftones "Diamond Eyes". I like it better than the original. "The Collapse" is also a great one.

I've seen people say Vessel was crying during this cover and I knew that going into this reaction, but goddamn that sob hit me right in the guts. For each new song or cover of theirs I hear, they somehow manage to completely floor me every time, if not exponentially more for each one. To repeat something from a different comment section; I really hope Vessel knows how special and talented he is, how many hearts he has touched and how many souls he has healed. I've been listening to this band for well over a year, but I feel like I've known them for way longer, like friends that you've practically just met but clicked instantly with. They were there when I needed them, they helped me get through some tough problems both family related and personal identity related, and I can never repay them for playing such an important role. They feel like life, and as poetic as that sounds, it's true for me. They've genuinely helped me see the beauty of life and they've taught me that it's okay to take it slow. They are my whole world.
