This is so awesome. That feeling when everything finally works... A trigger is pulled, there's a boom, and a projectile exits the barrel without blowing your hand off. Creating a mini explosion machine with some metal and determination... A very rewarding project. In many parts of the world, it's beyond rewarding. It's straight-up empowering and not in the cliché emotional sort of way. We shouldn't take for granted that our system still allows us to possess arms. We should never forget that unfathomable numbers of people have been completely disarmed, slaughtered and left to rot. People alive today have watched it. This isn't ancient history. Something as simple as a single shot 22 could have made the difference for god only knows how many people.

Owen of the Owen SMG used a similar cylindrical magazine with his first prototype SMG. I believe that his magazine was a spring powered clock like escapement setup.

Yes. But this guy was able to harness the puny energy of 22 to move to operate the slide and rotate the mag without any need for spring. That's cool. I wonder if he could 3d print linked chain with similar geometry to his cylinder mag, and belt feed it too.

Use Suomi 71 round drums. Extremely well made and fantastically reliable. I use them in a BRP machine gun.

So sorry! You use the method and medium creatively! My dad was a MIT physicist and he purchased the first Mac 512 in the greater Boston area. Home from art college he showed it to me and I wasn't entirely impressed. My mistake I am now 60 and I let everything computer pass me by. I did play with the 1960's punch cards, binary tape and huge RCA computer tape reels though!

Before be privatizated most of his videos he had a video of a $9 1911 bb gun converted to 22, but the slide wouldnt reset the hammer so you had to manually reset it. Can you find that video?!?

There were better videos of such or more successful conversions. But I guess they have disappeared for legal reasons. Funny, people in some states can legally build semiautomatic repeaters as home build guns, but not play around with the air-soft or BB gun lowers doubted ‘ghosts’

Good work, bb guns are illegal without a ffl in NJ, just like blanks, or tazers, I got hope though, maybe this authoritarian state may give a little leeway soon.

Every guy here thought of how to use magnets on home made ammo or a home made anything like that, aluminum is a nice option , I knew some1 that tried to get a patton on a magnetic motor in the 70s, I noticed the last one was made outa that hard aluminum, I got good scrap $$ for it.

Oh, firearms? How parochial. Even when suppressed, they make too much noise, and that's not even the largest issue cartridge firearms technology has. I'll give you a hint, solve for manufacturing and delivery issues, once you factor out the existing stock pile.

22 LR неудобный патрон, лучше 32 АСР.

Неудобства не вижу в его конфигурации. И вероятно он хотел послабее патрон для пластика- 3д. Морда его затвора- алюминий. Плюс с 32 acp возня с головным пространством затвора. И вообще круто: магнитный разъединитель УСМ.

@@STEINBVG Есть еще 25 АСР там вес затвора такой же как на 22 ЛР. Магнитный разьединитель было бы интересно попробовать.

Да. 25 acp забавный патрон. Но гораздо реже и дороже чем 22LR, который хотя и подорожал все равно ~ $1 за 10 патронов.

@@STEINBVG У нас в России дешевый патрон на 14.11.23г. стоит 2.5 $ за 10 патронов и ровно столько же 7.62*39.
