Great to see a couple working together so well. I love his work down to the last detail of putting a cover on the top of the fence to keep the water out and giving the fence an extra few years of life. And the wife's Quality Control inspection at the end! Good luck to you both.

As a student of human behavior I read a study a long time ago that summarize a lot of research into human relationships. I remember three takeaways from that summary; women connect best with other women through sharing of emotions and experiences (often complements and tears), men connect best with other men while doing physical labor together (sweating together whether in play, build or war). The research concluded that men and women connect best with each other when working together towards a common goal, in those situations the man typically realizes that the woman is capable of more than he expected and she gets to evaluate his initiative and effort for nest-building. It is like a symphony to watch this couple work, pure harmony and joy (even though there are sometimes bound to be dramatic parts).

I like the fence. My husband and I did something similar the only difference was the boards were at an angle of about 45° and on each side as you did.
