I purchased a lock and created a cache hide of my own in honor of this one in Sacramento, California - USA. Varied it enough to make it my own and placed it along a beautiful trail along the Sacramento River near my home. Thanks for the great idea!

We saw that padlock while shopping and considered buying it for a cache but didn't have any ideas on how to implement it into our cache. Love the map!! Excellent!

those padlocks are pretty popular here in America. You can get them at any office supply store near the begging of the school year.

Given the curiosity of people at large, I'm surprised that nobody has actually stolen it by now. I mean, if a person didn't have a clue about geocaching, their curiosity would undoubtably get the better of them and they'd want to know what was inside it and why someone had left it there. Anyhow, it's a neat little cache and a great means to have to solve its secrets. :D

You should use a head mounted camera for some of your caching videos as you so often need to use two hands. Great videos by the way.

@2000jago Well I was just saying if anyone watches this video before finding the cache they wouldn't have to go to the city if they copy down the arrows. Not that anyone would do that.
@rustyknightjustme13 жыл бұрын
@2000jago The reviewer would have no idea that the cache owner glued an item to local government signage. It's the cache owners job to comply to the rules. Don't get me wrong, I like the cache and the technique for displaying the combination to the lock. I'm a subscriber to geocachespoilers and like to see all the caches and listen to the rants. I even wrote that "popular geocaching site" to help get him re-instated after being banned.

This is awesome and also kinda weird to think that this is right by where I live. =P Also that Box! That's the second one I've seen, the first being the one I stored all my K'Nex in!

Absolutely brilliant, however I have one concern. In your rant about the reviewers you said you weren't going to hide any more. PLEASE DON'T FOLLOW THAT THROUGH!! Sven., your caches are so good, so varied and so utterly awesome that the caching world would lose a true gem if you left the 'hiding scene'. For our sake anyway, PLEASE CONTINUE TO HIDE CACHES!! That is my concern, you don't want to hide anymore. PS, if you are really pissed off with the reviewers, go to Opencaching or make your own
