Kapara won't let you down. GREAT SLICER, easy to carry, beautifully smooth action. On the Kapaa when they did the 20cv they dropped the carbon fiber. 20cv is a pretty well rounded steel, certainly not a rust bucket.

I can see why this is a spyderco favorite. I love the sleek look and blade shape, I could easily see this being my daily carry. I always look for cruwear as my first choice for spyderco models but their s30v is a fine steel, it's probably more well rounded than some of the "higher end" steels. Beatiful new knife, thanks for sharing, and enjoy it brother.

Love my kapara, especially with some linen micarta scales on it to add a little more grip. That carbon fiber is very pretty, so well done, but was a little slick for my hands. Now it's my favorite EDC for food prep. I keep the micarta waxed and it washes up just fine.

Today it’s a Vosteed RS Kaos. That I received this morning. I absolutely love it for my big hand. It’s a bit hefty for some. But it’s a great fit for me. Plus it came in a super cool sturdy pelican like plastic case

Agreed. Spyderco is trying to live off the name now and going up on prices that I would rather put elsewhere. Same with benchmade. S30v is ok but for the price they want I will go to WE etc.

The thing is, Spydercos s30v probably will out perform WE 20cv. They are Taiwan made and they have some of the best equipment in the world there for knives. A little different than china, the price is a touch steep I'll agree. But for really nice carbon fiber and an extremely well heat treated s30v blade, it's not horrible imo. The thing is they offer more premium steels with the Kapara for a similar price. The s30v you just pay up a little for. They had one at BHQ for under 240 in m4 and g10. The upcharge with this one is going to be that carbon fiber and that it's Taiwan made. There's a reason certain companies use Taiwan, IE cold steel, demko, off-grid, Spyderco it's because they are damn good at making knives

I almost got one of these recently. It was between this and a Smock. I went with the Smock because I found more aftermarket parts for it than the Kapara. the Kapara is next I think though. That thing is fire.

A drop point with a very slight belly and organic lines always reminds me of my first knife, a cheap Kershaw. But it's a lovely blade shape: sharp tip, decent cutting edge, good for a variety of cuts. Taiwan makes some of the best knives! Sure hope nothing bad happens to them...

That's exactly what happened to me. Finally I said enough. S30V is amazing still and always will be. Especially with Spyderco HT. I'm good with it. I wish it was a little cheaper but I'm good with it thanks brother

I like my Kapara lots! I have one in 30v that is chopped with black micarta scales to increase grip/ability. I also have a 20cv Kapara with the really nice CF scales from the 30v Kapara in full length.

I can't remember the name without looking it up. There's a guy that takes these and other knives and scales them down. MC had one on his channel. Said it made the knife perfect. BLADECHOPS. That's who.

I’ve actually never even held a Spyderco. I’ve never bought one because there’s soooo many knives ahead of them on my list below that price range. I’ve never been a huge fan of the aesthetics either. But people tell me once you try one you’ll be hooked. Carrying the Kizer Begleiter 2 Tanto today.

Today, I'm carrying the Hogue Mysto. Received it yesterday, and I think it may be my favorite EDC of all time. It's not lightweight, but I love the weight, size, ergos, action - all perfect for me. Can't put it down! Surprisingly sharp factory edge on top of that. For the clips: I love the Lynch NW wire clip replacement that is on my Manix 2. My favorite Spyderco: Smock

That Kapara is sweet and the carbon fiber is gorgeous! You’re right about Spyderco being in a class of its own as far as heat treating. You can trust them to get the most out of any steel. I could see picking this as my only knife if I had to. Like I’ve said before, you and I have very similar taste in knives. You should try Renaissance Wax on your satin blades. No more fingerprints!!! Oh, and it protects the blade. Today I carried my new Off Grid EDC Caiman. Great size. Great knife. Thanks for the recommendation brother! 😃🤜🏼🔥🔥🔥

Crazy you haven’t had one until now. This is probably my favorite knife ever-or at least top three at least. It just needs a redesign to get the weight down a little and it would be absolutely perfect… I don’t carry it that much, but if I had to live with a single light to medium duty knife this would probably be it, gweggy-poo. S30V is a superb high end steel, people are rtrded.

My favorite Spyderco in my collection Is my TKJ Shaman… buuut i do not want to screw it up ( the dlc ) so i have the satin stonewash s30v to carry. That being said i have been carrying my Manix2’s almost every day since last summer.

Why does it feel like every knife review I see is titled "best this" or "best that"? I'm not trying to be negative it just seems like every knife being reviewed lately is great. Not just this channel either, all channels. Not sure what my point is, it's just something I've noticed. Are most knives just getting made really well now a days? Even from the budget brands? At 1st, I was hoping this was a review on the Canis. However, after seeing this, the Kapara is now high on my wishlist. I love the shape of the blade and slicey full flat grind, and that handle looks so comfortable to handle for hours at a time. Of course the compression lock is always fantastic for edc. Dangit Greg, now there's another $200+ knife on my list! Lol thanks homie!
