Been doing something similar for years. Instead of using mesh i use a ESP mini bag with a mix of 2&4mm. Inject the bag with glug, band a 6 or 8mm on and use a baiting needle to pull the loop of the hook length through, then attach to the bottom of the rig. The hookbait sits at the bottom and you get everything in a extremely tight package and zero glug lost. For added ease, i use a paste pot or a large preston cad pot.

Agree with Greg, pellet cone on pole, fed via paste pot / does work. I use the small guru cone with micros

Use a cable tie for shipping out like a bait dropper ?

Been using T Bag on pole for about a year now with decent success rate. Found it can work well in autumn/winter when you need to be more precise and stricter with the amount of bait used. Cheers

I was watching Dickie Carr do this at Keith Bowlers memorial match at Colemans Cottage back in 2009 or thereabouts, so it's not new. Thanks for triggering the momory, this would probably work well at Birds Green. 👍

Why rhe teabag instead of a cone?
@LeeATKINSON-lu2qjАй бұрын
Because he's using hard pellets.

Hi Ian, my guess would be that a cone would likely fall apart before it hit the bottom. Plus, you would be constrained by using micro's in the cone- as opposed to match the hatch sized pellets.
