I'm REALLY glad I saw this video. I took a few videos through my telescope a few hours prior to the eclipse and again during it. Upon reviewing the footage I thought i'd overexposed the footage as i'd lost almost all detail around Tycho, completely washed out, which greatly disapointed me. Know I know it was a normal phenomenon of the eclipse, and to think I almost binned the footage because of it lol. 😁

Hi Stephen, the moon has been so bright and clear over Huddersfield the last few days. Last night I walked past a lady waiting for a bus and I pointed to the moon and said to her you can see his face ! She looked up and laughed. I wonder if you could do a video describing the moon, it’s size compared to the earth and why we see the dark bits and the ones that look like bullet holes in glass. So many questions to be answered about the moon which I think we take for granted. I wonder what prehistoric man or later people in history thought of the moon. Must have been a wondrous but also frightening to them ? Very interesting subject and great content as always ! ❤

@@starman1969 I’ll look forward to it, as I think we don’t know enough about our closest planet. Just to add, I often walk near to Huddersfield Railway Station and there is an old sign in a passageway - Huddersfield Astronomical Society. I googled them and see they meet up in another place now which is very interesting and they welcome new members. Think you’d be an excellent speaker for an evening there like I think you did recently not far away in north of Leeds or Bradford. My late father who was a Vicar, used to tell me of a book he had as a child called, The Spender’s of our heavens, all about the universe and the planets. He never found another copy sadly, as he’d lost the one he had.

Yes partial lunar eclipses are nothing like as dramatic as partial solar eclipses still nice as they show you how the universe ticks .Lunar eclipses are much slower to take effect than solar ones but then they last a lot longer.
