The third video from my Arunachal Pradesh series & my whole trip in Arunachal Pradesh was just incredible, I met with the people of tribes, I stayed with them, I have eaten with them & so much more. It just not as a trip, it was a fantastic life long experience for me. In this trip, I have tried those things which I have never dreamed of.
This trip has also bought a little lousy experience, but its a part of travelling & if we are going to highlight the bad experience, then we are just insulting the efforts of amazing people, who helped us during our travelling.

Sorry about that Guy. But Bhai Apne ek chotta sa mistake kar diya ki....kabhi bhi ek free service ki pura fayda mat uthao....doesnot matter if that person is best in the world. You should have arranged ur stay somewhere in the village. I m telling u because when u r enjoying someone's resorces free of cost....then deep inside that person's brain, there may be something going on. I mean he doesnot know if u will pay him afterwards, so he may withdraw some of the facilities from you. Just my opinion. Some people are overcalculative. They may calculate the expenses of yr night and other facilities used by u in their heads.....so some person asks like this. From my experience

Don't be sorry brother ..I think this was the mistake from divyanshu side ...Had he not hidden 400rs and given let's say 2k to gatung it was convincing deal and life time experience to both sides ... I would had happily gave 3k rs to gataung for his help, hospitality and time .... You are earning alot from youtube ...gataung was educated ...And his family condition was also not good Still my indian brother treated you well letting you stay overnight ...For that love and hospitality you should had paid him atleast 5k .Since youtube is giving you a lot to spare and help others in need

I traveled Tawang, Bomdila, Bhalukpong, Dirang. The people I met were very friendly. They are basically honest. one bad incident can not prove everything. Arunachal Pradesh is an incredible place and it has lots of potentialities to promote tourism.

मैं नवोदय विद्यालय से पढ़ा हूँ।9वीं कक्षा में माइग्रेशन में अरुणाचल प्रदेश के रोइंग से 22 बच्चें माइग्रेट होकर आए थे।उनका नेचर इतना जल्दी स्विंग होता था कि समझ से परे था।थोड़ी ही देर में मित्रवत व्यवहार करते थे और थोड़ी ही देर बाद मार काट और लड़ाई झगड़ा करने लगते थे फिर थोड़ी देर बाद सब नार्मल हो जाता था।और खुद ही माफी भी मांग लेते थे।

Actually living a life is very tough in those villages. They have to work very very hard to fulfill their daily needs because all necessary items are not easily available. Transportation and communication is the main problem there. So I think he had find an easy way to earn money. Maybe he has some personal problems for which he need money and GOD has sent you to help him. Directly or indirectly you have also helped him by paying. I feel sad that he dint gave u a proper goodbye. But the money he asked was decent enough for that place. It may look like a lot in Delhi or Àssam but in that place it is perfectly ok. U traveled almost a 100 kms , did u see how many people are there ? Petrol is a costly item and sometimes u wouldn't get even if u pay. Also the ride he gave u , u would have stayed for days and still not get a ride from Riga village. In the mountains every thing is costly. So the amount he asked was decent enough.

Deepanshu Bhai, In remote places of India, poor people like Khatum does not realize the concept of Hitch Hiking and Couchsurfing. They want money for any small serving. It was also your fault that you should first talk and finalize payment part before taking anyone's service. Developed countries like Russia, Europe, Iran its all OK as people have enough money. Secondly, when you take Hitch hiking, you just take it from a person who is already traveling from source to destination point and leave him after that. Here you interacted more with that person and stayed in his home for one night and then again took another ride so he expected a payment. Baki its good that you mentioned this in video as it wud make us careful when we travel and take such experience.

Dipanshu! I'm bit surprised. Despite being such a avid traveller how u miss to read between lines? 1) Firstly let's understand that wht we get in Indian cities the same things r very costly & difficult to get in Indian villages. For example, u travelled on the bike on rough roads. Here fuel, wear/tear, associated mechanic/service cost is very high compared to city. What villagers don't care much in terms of cost is home grown food like rice u ate bt urban taken for granted things cost there. 2) Remote villages expect some gift from urban travellers which is difficult to get there.. E.g. u said u have given 400 Rs, quite possible they would have known this. Bt 400 Rs gift or even less amount gift from Mumbai/Delhi which is difficult to access there would make lot of difference. Same gift articles will cost dear there. So always try to carry something how u carry Indian coins while travelling outside India. Better study the place bfr travel & carry such small, inexpensive & handy gift items. Carry chocolates in pocket for kids.. 3) Many ppl in Indian villages especially family/village head feel awkward in accepting money in open. That is against their prestige. If u really wanted to offer then take the family head to some silent place & give him money almost without his wishes bt respectfully. Note that this hitch hiking with 500 Rs per day budget will b appreciated in urban areas as achievement bt in Indian rural areas its taken differently. As u r not spending money, not travelling with purpose directly benefiting them (like medical aid etc) wht exactly u expect? Bt nyways superb experinces & videos.. In late 90's I used to watch a serial "Lonely Planet" on Discovery channel. U refreshed my memories, THANX..

Bro I know the struggles of the North East people because I spent my whole 2019 in West garo hills, Dadenggre Meghalaya. Slow Internet, in some arears there are no roads, drinking water problem, flash floods,no transportation, high price of essential commodities, less hospital ......so many problems. The more you will know about them ,the more you will fall in love with North East❤️.. love you North East❤️❤️❤️

Hey man nice traveling. But about Gatun incident you should have offered him a decent amount at least Rs.1500. you offered just 500 rupee that is very less man. I also ride bike in mountains ghat section and I know for 55 kms it will take up to 3 hours compared to city roads just in an hour. And bike also consume more fuel compared to city roads. And he came 55 kms to drop you think about his return journey and also previous day he gave you a ride. And don't forget it's all costly in mountain areas as it take lot of efforts to reach any comodity/thing there. The good thing you paid him what he want.

Being from one of the most popular tourist destination in India, I must say what you offered was very less to start with, that's where I think he lost it. The guy did everything, give you lift, place to stay, food, and guided you all through your travel. Also, if you've known northeastern, they themselves spend generously whatever they have. So, it may also because of the spending habits between you and Gating. you should've been more generous instead you tried a bargain. In Europe or America, most peoples are well off and Don't mind giving free lifts, or even offer a stay, just to socialize or to meet new Peoples. In places like India, especially in rural areas, every small thing is an opportunity to make some bucks for their livelihood. The same guy you talked about would be paying money to travel from one town to another town, be it sumo taxi or even a private vehicle, most peoples take money for lift. Next time, make sure to confirm beforehand that it's completely free. If you're not ready to pay.
